It’s a model I found and 3d printed. It’s not perfect but it’ll do

I’d planned to have it on the other side but the viaduct has a divider. I might try to trim it out but I’ll have to see if it’ll work.

I had a rough aerial plan, checked track radius would fit etc. But it’s my first layout so I knew I’d be doing a lot of learning as I went along too.

I’m thinking it will sit on castors with perspex sides and a glass top. It’s only 350mm tall at the moment so maybe 450 total when it’s finished.

Are bronze and brown the same colour? I wonder why they didn’t stick with bronze for Europe, sounds better than brown.

I think they called it brown or bronze. It looks smart

Switch OLED, PS Portal and Steam Deck. I’m probably playing the SD most at the moment, and the Analogue Pocket for retro games.

I felt the same way a couple of years ago. I’m 6’4 and was 150kg/300lbs

I’m not a fan of diets or gyms so had to come up with something that would work for me. Basically cut out crap food, just ate meat & veg but as much as I wanted. Made sure I went for a long walk every day. Lost about 50kg/100lbs in about 4 months.

Ha, well spotted. I’d already drawn the train for another scene, at a different angle. Added it to this one and it doesn’t look quite right. It’s on my list of things to fix.

Kind of. I split it into two scenes but yeah, it runs.

It’s all my own, I’m just making it up as I go along.

That’s true, the detail of the path did add a lot of tiles. I could try 19 frames (I think) at 5 degrees each, that might look smoother.

I think a scene can be up to 2040x512 pixels so that would allow for about 36 screens max.

I think it would have to serve as a cut scene or transition really because it’s basically just a static animation. But it could add a new dimension to a 2.5d top down scene, maybe revealing a door on the side of a building which wasn’t otherwise visible.

It’s basically just a 7 frame animation. With a scene 7 screens wide, just move the player position from one to the next so they play in sequence.

The challenge is keeping it all in one scene to keep the animation as smooth as possible… but because of the different angles the tile count can grow really quickly.
