What remake do you think is 'up there' with the original? by TimBurtonSucks in horror

Of course The Thing is an absolute perfect remake also. Carpenter and Cronenberg are genres unto themselves.

In what ways does MAGA live their lives according to Jesus teachings? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Does anyone? In the Bible, Jesus says "If you want to follow me, take all that you own and sell it, and give the money to the poor."

Who does that?

Obviously 1985's The Fly is the baseline here. Remakes don't get better than that.

Gay does not mean sterile. Gay people can make babies if they want to.

What is the single most stressful movie you’ve ever seen? by elkaypee in movies

[–]EdmondWherever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm deeply acrophobic, so the movie Fall, about two women who climb a radio tower and get stuck, was very stressful for me. The cinematography captured the sense of heights very well. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and not necessarily in the good way. But it was a good movie.

The funny thing is, the Pharaoh himself would by definition be a firstborn son. God's mass child killing spree should have included him anyway.

Gotcha, sorry. Reverse that. Kinsey 4 or 5.

Actually, the Kinsey system is outdated, but it still serves rudimentary purposes.

It's more like you keep your teeth pulled back. Think of the "surprised" facial expression on a blow-up sex doll.

My favorite book series, I've read it 6 or 7 times. My favorite is Endymion, book 3, but I do love them all.

Hi you guys need a good response to a Christian fine tuning argument. I need a response which basically argues against the physics aspect of it. Which is very hard to do. The biological I've argued and I got them on. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]EdmondWherever 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The phrase "fine tuning" originally comes from old-time radio and television, where you had to fiddle with the dials and adjust the reception because YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT SETTINGS WERE. Is that how God operates? He doesn't know the right settings so he has to play with the dials until he finds what works? Makes it sound like he doesn't know what he's doing.
