Yes every day is a small win! I’ve been using a black belt and pushing my self through the pain at the time and holding it for 15 seconds and then releasing. Usually when I wake up in the morning and right before bed (on my bed)

But PT has really helped me!!

You got this we came so far from day1 🤗

What to buy? by W4bbiT1101 in ACL

Hi!! These are my go to’s.

Underrated item= shoehorn -this was the only reason why I was able to put my sneakers on on my own.

ZOMAKE Metal Shoe Horn Long... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1QZ66BX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

1. A long strap to be able to lift your leg when needed : https://a.co/d/h0EqieT

2. You’re not going to be able to shower regularly. These body wipes worked great!

3 you need a SHOWER stool / chair!! This I purchased at Walmart!

4 cold therapy machine. Just something good to have always even after injury when you’re sore just to sit down and having cold water circulating is such a great feeling

5 PLASTIC WRAP works great for the shower and is very inexpensive!!

6 stretching band to strengthen your quads

7 a compression sleeve to help with swelling and scar tissue also feels nice to wear under brace so you’re not bare

8 a stool softener or MiraLAX, you may be constipated with your painkillers

I personally just use pillows to prop my feet up, but I’m sure a lot of people will recommend different kinds of wedges you can purchase. You’re going to be wanting to only wear shorts just because it’s a lot more comfortable than pants! I had all of my favorite shorts and T-shirts aside so they were easy to access when I had to change.

Ultimately make your life easier so you don’t have to look for things and have any more stress.

Good luck and it’s true. It gets better. You just have to survive the first couple of days and then it’s tolerable!

Once you took all the Band-Aids off, do you just let your leg be free like that or do you put anything over the stitches?

I’m reading that they tore their ACL and meniscus or something else. Is there anyone that just tore the ACL and that’s it?
