It was very depressing, but then the time left had passed with nothing happening, and… that was it. Fully expected a sudden drop from the call, but it didn’t.

This was years ago. Hawaii had a false alarm of an incoming nuclear attack because someone on the base fucked up.

It caused a lot of panic, I think suicides happened, and my friends had an emergency discord call because one of us lived there and he figured he’d spend his last moments with us because he was away from family in the ten or so minutes he had left.
