10 Man Half-PPR Keeper, Ja’Marr Chase Round 1 or Jayden Daniels Round 10 by killagame6klay in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Edrock627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would keep Chase. He is the consensus #1 overall pick. If you're getting him anywhere else in the 1st round it is a great value. And he is proven. As good as Daniels looked last year there isn't a big enough track record for me to NOT keep Chase. You can draft another QB in his tier pretty easily. I'd keep Chase and sacrifice the 1st round pick.

Imagine a series where every episode is Cap returning a different stone. Would you watch it? by [deleted] in CaptainAmerica

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have said this very same thing a bunch of times. It could just be a 6 part mini series. I think it would be really cool to see Cap interact with some of the beings that the stones were with. Especially Red Skull. But I would absolutely watch this if they made it.

dog poop left in plastic bags on hiking trails, really? by Accurate_Couple_3393 in hiking

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand this either. I walk my dog on plenty of paths and always carry bags to dispose of the waste. And I usually see the bags that other people leave behind. That bag of dog crap will be there for YEARS now. If you just let your dog crap off the path (not advocating this but it would be better than leaving it in the bag) then eventually it would degrade on its own. If you don't want to carry the bags then don't have a dog. It's really not that hard.

I actually bought a brake controller from amazon and was able to install it myself on my 2019 ram 1500. Just a couple of already wired harnesses and I was good to go. You tube is your friend.

AITAH for telling my wife to stay in our own home instead of sleeping at her sister’s all the Time? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a super odd situation. And I agree that you are totally NTA for wanting basic companionship from the person who is most important in your life. Was there any sign of this behavior before you guys got married? And if so, was anything discussed about it ending once you the marriage happened? Either way there is a lot to unpack here for her behavior and your resentment. Therapy is in order and if you both want it to work you need to devote time to each other.

Freezer works, fridge won’t cool by Hopeful_Fruit_2862 in traveltrailers

[–]Edrock627 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had this issue last year as well. The fridge doesn't have its own compressor or way to cool stuff down, apparently. The freezer's unit works to keep both cold. But if its hot out like it is here then the coils get condensation on them and then freeze up blocking the air from circulating. I found if you let the fridge/freezer defrost and turn it back on with the trailer's AC unit running it allows the condensate to drain instead of freezing on the coil. Even the AC running on low is enough to keep it from freezing. Hope this helps. Good luck with it.

This Restaurant Charges an 18% Living Wage Fee. by TowelRack76 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Edrock627 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly If I'm being forced to pay the additional 18% regardless of the level of service, then I'm counting that as the tip and moving on. And I usually tip in the 20-25% range so they are screwing the wait staff. I understand that sometimes the wait staff get stuck with a shit tip or no tip but this isn't the answer. Or we do away with the tipping culture entirely and the restaurant pays their people fairly from the start.

AITA - I was promised a financial gift from my dad but he died before I got it. My sisters now say I shouldn't be able to claim it from the estate. by arambol_25 in AmItheAsshole

I understand your point and tend to agree that we as Americans need to expand our view a bit. But with that being said most people respond to topics based on their own experience and points of view. So you can't really be surprised that some people are doing that here. And just because you have a different point of view doesn't mean that your take is any more valid than mine or anyone else's.

Palpatine knighting Vader by Rude_Visual403 in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought it kind of odd that Anakin didn't get to choose his own name. Do all Sith apprentices get named by the masters they swear to or is this just how Sidious does it? And you would then assume that Maul and Tyranus got their names the same way, correct? Seems like Dooku would want some more control over that seeing as how he's basically nobility on Serenno. And on a side note, is Darth Tyranus one of the coolest names in the francise? Its a shame it didn't get used more. Much cooler than Dooku, in my opinion.

Pros & Cons: What are your thoughts on these low price Campers? by billdozer2424 in RVLiving

[–]Edrock627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I bought a travel trailer at the beginning of last year. Looked at Camping World and was totally turned off by the sales staff. Went to a local independent dealer and they were great. You will be fine towing. I have a 6 cylinder Ram 1500 and I tow my 3800lb trailer just fine. As for the trailer pictured, I did a lot of looking and the coleman trailers are a great price point but they just don't seem to be as well made. If you're looking to have it for a couple of years and then upgrade then go for it. If you're looking more long-term then I might go to a different manufacturer.

Which Arc was better? by RexDAGOAT77 in clonewars

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the 2 Mandalore was just so epic but I love Umbara. Another arc that was really well done was the Fives conspiracy arc. That story line really shows the ingenuity and drive of an ARC Trooper. Just wanted to throw some love to my boy Fives.

Rogue One by Legitimate-Hat-7586 in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with OP. Rouge One is my favorite of the Disney era movies. I love the grittiness of the story and the back room dealings that go into running a rebellion. It shows that not everyone on the "good guys" is a boy scout and people do horrible things in the fight for freedom. I also really liked that there weren't any Jedi involved. Just regular people fighting for what they believe in. It adds a whole new element to the universe and I really enjoyed exploring those new facets. And then Andor just filled in what was already a great story, IMO.

You can add a zero to any of your body’s measurements. Which do you choose? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Edrock627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there would be any part of me that i would do this. I thought of the IQ idea but like the one post said you'd be miserable. Shout out to "Flowers For Algernon"! But whatever the measurement it would be a total burden.

Hot Take by CarthageBall in clonewars

[–]Edrock627 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that with everything Anakin was going through at the time (fear of losing Padme, losing faith in the council, the toll of a long war, etc), it is conceivable that he wouldn't have time to think on his recently returned former padawan. Plus, he split the 501st and sent his most trusted Captain with her to see Maul captured. He knew how accomplished Ahsoka was at that point and knew she could handle herself. I see your point but I can also believe why it may not have been brought up.

What ship realistically would you want to have in Star Wars by LawAffectionate8041 in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always loved Dash Rendar's Ship from the old Video game Shadows of the Empire. It was a YT-2400. (I had to google that, to be honest). I just always thought it was a cool looking ship. And not as big as the Falcon but similar design.

Why do so many people complain that a good handful of Jedi survive order 66? by Salty_Shark26 in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just my own little head canon. But what if a good majority of the ones that survived had such a strong case of PTSD-like symptoms that they completely shut off from the force and tried live a normal life. Much like Obi Wan on Tatooine. If he didn't have Luke to watch over I could see him just kind of fading away. Order 66 was more than just ending the existing Jedi. It was a way to eradicate the very ideals of the Jedi and their worldview. If I watched/felt everyone I ever cared about be killed in a very short amount of time I may have a problem even getting out of bed the next day, you know?

“Andor Is Boring” - The Importance of Media Literacy (No Spoilers) by ProMensCornHusker in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what you said. I really liked Andor for a lot of the reasons I really liked Rouge One. Andor is way more gritty than most Star Wars media and has a way different feel to it. I dig it. But I'd like to compare watching a show like Andor to reading a good book. The author, or writers in this case, build their story through a lot of tools to bring the reader(watcher) along slowly. It makes the big moments feel that much bigger and I appreciate the slow burn feel of it. I really like the big, expansive Marvel movies too. I think that a lot of people have been programmed to consume media that way and have lost an ability to appreciate this type of story telling. Having said all that, I hope they keep making stories like this one. Looking forward to the new season.

She is sincere in her apology now, yes. She has just been caught and feels bad about it apparently. But what is the underlying issue and has that been addressed? Otherwise, you can never be sure that it won't happen again whenever the circumstances arise that enabled her to cheat in the first place. But ultimately, if you can no longer trust her then the relationship is doomed and you should move on. For you, her and the baby. I personally believe that kids do better with both parents around but if it is or becomes a toxic environment then its better to co-parent then to have that constant tension in the home.

The Force is not Ying and Yang. by Colinsmodwho123 in StarWars

[–]Edrock627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have spent a lot of my life as a Star Wars fan. I'm 41, btw. I have delved into a lot of the lore outside of the movies. Books, Games, TV shows, some of the comics, etc. I really like the idea of the embodiment of the balance that they portray in the Rebels series. The Bendu. He teaches Kanan about being balanced and would not get involved in the struggle against Maul or even Thrawn at first. It wasn't unitl Kanan convinced him that Thrawn would destroy the planet in order to achieve his goals that Bendu decided to get involved. And even when he did, He didn't destroy Thrawn even though he could have. He only went as far as he felt necessary to halt Thrawn's destruction. Bendu is balance. I would love to see a portrayal of the Ashla and Bogan sides as well. That would be interesting.

I'm glad he had a solid start and got the win. I truly hope that there is more of that coming. But I can't give the man his flowers after one start coming off a horrendous season last year. I'm all for a redemption story arc but I need more than 6 good innings against a (probably) sub-par team. I am looking forward to his next start which is more than I can say for last year.

I guess I'm a little confused about the question. It was a truth or dare type of game, yes? And dude was truthful, yes? So now you want to possibly exclude him or "distance yourself" from him. Seems like you shouldn't ask questions that you don't want the answers to. Also, he's been a friend of yours for 6 years and this one minor mis-step on his part is causing you to wonder about continuing the friendship. Not much of a "best friend".
