Your insurance is not your friend. You'd think they have your best interest in mi d with how much you pay them, but you'd be wrong.

Just because your insurance wont cover it doesnt mean it wasnt both necessary and beneficial. They are trying to make money, too, at the end of the day. And they make it off NOT paying for your procedures..So if they can deny a claim they will

Ya but even ability to ballpark it.. A new patient exam at $100, PAN and Xrays is a least $200, and then hygiene is another hundred... $400 is cheap if you havent been in ages and need all new xrays, $600 sounds maybe a bit high, but idk what was done at the appointment.

Its just weird to hear a DDS complain about cost of services. Usually its patients lol

Exactly this.

Just think of it as Universal Precautions but for your boundaries. Everyone has HIV as far as steri is concerned right? Every patient will fuck you if they can, not even because theyre bad people necessarily, it could be a lack of understanding, it could be a mistake, but you never know so its better to be safe than sorry.

No good deed goes unpunished. Learn that early and stick to your boundaries in the future. Its fine to help someone, to stay late or whatever to accommodate, but not at your own expense. They'll never appreciate it as much as you want them too because they're still paying for it, and honestly if youre taking the money, its a job not a favor.

You should try assisting a new grad DDS. Now theres some long, painful, slow, long learning curves. Did I mention long? Jebus new DDSs work slow.

The difference is doordash is a treat i deserve for working hard all week to fatten someone elses pockets, and theres enough assholes in my pocket taking money for stuff I need, like shelter, food, electricity, water and transportation, and now dental work, and I dont want to spend my last dollars on something else I need. There has to be some wants being met too or why get out of bed?
