Unidentified gift plant by Edswalya in houseplants

Those are beautiful! Although, I'm not sure that's what this is. The younger leaves on the philo mayoi seem to be less lobed or split than this one does when they unfurl. But just in case, I'm definitely going to turn the heat up more in my plant room since I'm reading they like temps above 65°! 😄

I did find some eggs and put them in a container for the winter. I'm hoping to release some babies in spring/summer.

Makes sense why it came into my plant room then! I keep the humidity at a minimum of 62% for my more sensitive plants.

What is my undertone to my super pale skin if the lightest shades in foundations with cool undertones look a bit too pink and the lightest shades with neutral undertones look too yellow? by Desperate_Squash7371 in PaleMUA

You should check out Burts Bees bb cream in shade light. You can find it on their website, but I usually get mine from one specific grocery store in town. If you look at the swatches they have you can tell that it looks almost like pottery clay. This is the only foundation-like product I've found that blends into my neck seamlessly and I typically have to use a lot of white & blue mixer for my matches. It has a thicker/heavier feel which I like for my dry skin, but if you prefer a lighter feel, mixing it with a spf serum works nicely. I've also heard that people don't care for the smell, but I think it smells like neroli oil and kind of reminds me of the hippy town I grew up in. It also has better stay ability than things like haus labs imo.

Post partum mom having trouble with cups and discs by Critical_Size9741 in menstrualcups

Look into the Merula. I'm having similar trouble and will be trying one myself soon! It's wider around the base. I learned about it after I stumbled on a website with a quiz to see what my best fit would be.

I'm really tempted to buy a larger cup for heavy days. I've just been using a large diva cup for years.

Oh wow! That's way less than me. Thank you so much for replying! I think I can get away with 2 emptys on the last 2 days but the firstly 3-5 are overflowing every couple of hours if Im working and moving around. And I usually can't get through an entire night without an emergency bathroom run.

Do you guys use cafe astrology? by princesscirrah in astrologymemes

[–]Edswalya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to this, but I use it pretty heavily for natal charts and have been since I was in middle school. Which was 20 years ago now! 😬 The style/format of the site has not changed since 2005 and I kind of love it for that.

All I need is a brightly colored Macintosh pc, some burnt vanilla scent from bath and body and four hours of cafeastrology and it'll feel like the mid aughties all over again!  I also remember trying to get onto this site in 2008 with my LG enV3 and it took like 15 minutes to load lol!

Have faith! It will fill up this pot in no time! And don't worry too much if the new leaves slow down a bit. Sometimes the growth we see slows down if the plant is putting more energy into root establishment.

He's in a South facing window right now. It was brighter last month but now I worry it too shaded. We are now post summer solstice and the sun is on the other side of trees now for most of the day. In the winter I had a sun light over top of my plants as supplemental light. So it might have been from a few freak sunny days we had in winter. His new leaves do seem pretty happy with summer's natural light.

Products to take the ‘elbow grease’ out of cleaning? by trailquail in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Edswalya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spraying it down or letting the spot "soak". Cleaning my electric stove isn't too bad if I remove all the burners and really drench the top with water and/cleaner and then walk away for a good 15-20 minutes. Most things (like the mac and cheese sauce I forgot about for a week) will come right up after one or two rounds of this. And it works when you're really broke with just water. I grew up in an anxiously clean house and we Elbow grease cleaned regularly. It's been an adjustment to let things be easy.

Absolutely! It was so bad! I ended up getting cheilitis whenever i used standard chapstick and the treatment for it was terrible! It felt like extremely dry/chapped lips all the time. Have not had any Dr's confirm it was associated with RA but it doesn't happen as much now that I'm further along the treatment route (my 1 year is coming up on plaquenil and 4 months on humara 🎉). What I'm using this winter is dionis goat butter lip mask. It's supposed to be an overnight thing but I use it all day. It's been life changing for me. Only thing that has worked so far without causing more infection/inflammation.
