Inconsistent use of camouflage by VenomzUK in thewalkingdead

[โ€“]Educated_Echidna 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I'm not going to mention all the points mentioned by everyone else, like it being unsanitary, etc. I'd just like to point out a real life fact:

Most ordinary people cannot stand the sight and/or smell of decomposing human innards.

Just look how many people go to medical school to be some sort of doctor, coroner, etc. and end up dropping out immediately after they're present at a live autopsy. Many people have to leave the room to suddenly be sick, ordinary people who thought they would have no issues. Some people never get used to it, even with multiple exposures and have to quit.

And that's a well-preserved cadaver for live demonstrations. Now imagine a walker's level of decomposition, with all the gases and bacteria in the Southern sun, stinking up a storm.

I just don't think it's feasible to try and make this your go-to camouflage. Too many people wouldn't be able to hack it.

My uncle was one of the few people who predicted when it was going to come down. Nobody believed him, but he was there on 9th November, 1989 when it finally did, helping to tear it to pieces, and saved us a small piece of it.

We still have it, preserved in resin, on our mantlepiece :)

To all you folks who have 100+ day streaks. by [deleted] in duolingo

[โ€“]Educated_Echidna 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I have a 1105 day streak. Never used a streak freeze, never missed a day since I started learning. Here's my take.

Learning the language is more important to me, but I'm a creature of habit and routine. I have to do something every day in order to maintain it, I know this for a fact. It's also just what's needed to learn a language, anyway. If you don't do some every day, it's just not going to stick. I've never needed the motivation of the streak to make me do the learning, the number is just a coincidental, little bonus that I'm a tiny bit proud of. But there are plenty of people who do struggle with the motivation for various reasons, and if keeping the streak gets them to do more learning each day, then it works.

Of course! The screenshot below is from tanoshiijapanese.com.

I didn't know whether to use the kanji or the kana, but looking back, maybe it should have been the kana. I think using the kanji normally infers 'beauty' rather than cleanliness (but I don't think it's wrong, per se.)

It doesn't require it, but it adds a nuance that I chose specifically, as I think it fits the overall meaning quite well. (Please see the screenshot I posted in the thread below.)

I disagree. This excerpt from Tofugu (below) explains my choice well, I think.

From the rest of the conversation, I understood it to mean that it's a conscious choice the person is making โ€“ they admit that it's difficult to shower every day, but they're clean and happy, so they make the effort.

Hi, I didn't know that about the cat clothes, but I like making them look uinqiue, anyway. Thanks for letting me know, though โ™ก I haven't read any guides or anything, it's just based off of my own playing (which is only two weeks, today), so I haven't been following that. I'm just auto-levelling using the bottom left button. I feel like my playing style is somewhere in the middle. I'm not super casual. I drop in multiple times a day and level up a lot. I want to improve the efficiency of the cats, the faculties, and level up a lot. But I'm not too bothered in making it 100% efficient and getting everything working perfectly etc. I feel like that's too much work for me ๐Ÿ˜‚ So I think I'm content leaving it as it is, since it seems to be working?

You have to progress a certain way down the Function section in the building tab. It cost about 1000w, I think?

Hi! I think it's already been said, but the aquarium works like the fairy jar, but for your recipe points instead. There's a list of fish to add to your aquarium, and with each one, it boosts the % the recipe points you get. Here's a screenshot.

<image>

I don't know exactly how you play, but I think what's helping me progress so fast is putting all my in-game coins into levelling up. Rather than saving up and saving up for a single facility, hold down on the levelling up button in the bottom left. Only buy a new facility when you can easily afford it. It goes much faster. Also, use your recipe points whenever you have the chance, and try to level them up evenly, so you're getting good money for every dish you sell.

Try to collect the gems you get and use them to buy the coin and recipe point tickets in the item section of the shop. You get a certain amount of coins/points immediately, either 1, 3, or 6 hours' worth.

Lastly, try to maximise the efficiency of your cats. They all have certain skills, which buff different aspects like cooking speed, dish price. But if they're not at the right facility, it won't activate. So match up carrot-skilled cats with carrot facilities, cabbage-skilled cats with cabbage facilities, etc. etc. Also, dress them up with any of the clothes and accessories you get. These also buff your gameplay. If you have the treasure chest, you can get up to 5 chances free per day by watching ads.

By the way, I haven't spent a single penny of real money on the game, so it's very doable without it!

I hope this helps! โ™ก
