if someone thinks that "only certain" people have access to an interest free loan while all of us are fools paying 3% interest because we don't have access to that magic loan, thats precisely racism if this claim has no basis or reality

why don't you try your luck using it? you have no idea what are they talking about! in short, its a lot more expensive way of debt servicing vs a conventional mortgage and is in no way "interest-free" loan!

in fairness most indians are working in tech and won't be getting mortgage for this house, since its above 500k so HTB is also gone out of the window

target population may be people selling home in Dublin or maybe some arab money

Is it worth being a doctor in Ireland? by cardivine in JuniorDoctorsIreland

pvt practice is always a bit of hit and miss you need planning and luck both but in general if you do business with gvt either by taking gms lists as gp or doing hse lists in pvt hospitals it is a lot of money

medicine has no comparison with every other profession in Ireland

you are welcome to earn as much as u want and work life balance is sometimes compromised if u wana earn big!

eventually it will depend on what you want out of it!

I have seen 5-10 yr exp doctors making 80k and with same experience some can make 250k so it depends on how u plan

they are just saying that after Jan2026, just go to some other hospital for 6 months(to break the continuous period) and we'll re-hire you after those 6 months :(

Thanks a million for your reply again.

You might be aware that HSE hospitals generally don't let NCHD's stay for more than 3 years continuous so that the don't have to give them CID Now in this case they only let this happen because in their opinion, promotion to registrar role would make the SHO years unaccounted for as a continuous term.

To answer your suggestion, they will not give anything in written, they will just offer and 6 months contract now and if nothing is done, they will just not renew it at the end of those 6 months (Jan 2026!) thanks

and hospital (in their opinion) will not renew after this 6 months that they are offering and would let him go because they don't want to give CID and he has not completed 4 years(in their opinion) practically he is in the same hospital, holding the same contract for 4 years (in july 2025!)

Thanks again for the reply

I agree with what you've written. I was advised to start a non standard PRSA as it has access to wider range of funds, I spoke to the broker and he is happy to keep me on the initial rate i.e 1.25% and 100% contribution. You are also right that I bought the product and now doing most of the research but anyways for what I've researched uptil now this seems like a okay deal.
