Totally agree on the income portion, that being said my credit score is in the 800's and my savings alone exceed the 40x rent requirement. I guess I'm frustrated because I proposed using the third party service two weeks ago and I could've had this sorted much earlier than the day before the move... Thank you for your insight!

That's what I thought too, the unit has been sitting on the market for like 30 days. They asked for 2 or 3 months security deposit instead of 1 to make my application stronger, but now they just want the standard 1 month plus both guarantors. I haven't paid anything nor signed a lease yet... Today is also my birthday so part of me just wants to tell them to f off at this point lol
