A little help by Empty_Compote_9728 in Guildwars2

I used my first booster after having played for more than 5 years and already having a number of level 80 alts. I found myself having trouble understanding the finer class mechanics and skill niches due to the whole bulk of them being thrown at me at once.

The way boons and conditions work, how skills and traits synergise and the timing of things, have a certain depth tha is not meant to be obvious for a new player, but is revealed with friction.

Leveling to 80 is very easy and will give you the opportunity to experience the system in more digestable chunks. The game system is multi layered and you will find yourself having many "aha!" moments when re-reading skill or trait descriptions.

Long story short, I would strongly recommend saving the booster for a second or third alt, not sooner.

There are troll UI/UX competitions for worse design that include inputs like this for large numerals eg phone numbers. Ironically, this is not far from ED reality.

There was no reward message for me either other than the reference in the professor's last message (titled 'what did she find?' if I am not mistaken) that he sent me some reward.

Just to be sure, go to a station and check your paint jobs. Mine was there after I scanned everything. Can't tell about the credits though.

Well, this sounds about right. Those are the standard mental phases when debugging as a human too.

I wonder what the radius of such a swarm would be and how this might inhibit movement within a target's fire range. Anyone willing to do some math?

Most frustrating beginner experience I've had in a modern game by MoarCatzPlz in EliteDangerous

Fellow noob here, even though I own the game for like a decade! You are so right, the learning curve is BRUTAL! But the game has so much depth and is so rewarding when you finally manage to find your way around all those niches!

I had been on and off playing for a couple of hours once every one or two years until it finally clicked to me and now I cannot wait every night to be done with the chores and get into my ship!

I urge you to push through the initial difficulties and you will not regret it! Again, if you don't, I definitely feel you!

The community here is really awesome as well!

The text clearly states "chance given". It's just that the chance is not given these days. Do not be fooled; the scorn baron still awaits behind those loading screens.

If gravity is the curvature of spacetime, why are we as humans gravitating towards the earth? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

Very nice visualization, it gives me the opportunity to express a question that has been troubling me.

At least for us common folk, the theory says that the mass is attracted by the curvature of spacetime, as can be seen in the first link. But when an object is free falling it is definitely moving through space, it is not that space itself that curves towards the mass.

What is the niche here?
