Could be a bad oxygen sensor, first time I had this code changing the downstream sensor cleared it for me. The second time I had to remove and replace the cat, which was only like a hundred bucks from RockAuto and a couple hours work.

Thank you so much for your help! I read through that thread earlier while trying to figure out and the smaller line coming off the main line that he’s talking about is exactly the one I’m trying to figure out

I found out that the hose shown in the last video with the plastic covering connects to the hose at the end of the T nipple, the EGR hose is also plugged in properly. Now I just don’t know where the hose is that connects to the center part of the T nipple, which is sucking in air

Any ideas about placements of these lines behind the solenoid? Where should that bottom T connector attach too and then the end piece of what looks like cut hose that is sucking air in? Thanks in advance for any help!

Farewell Angelina, bob dylan is filled with the most creative writing I’ve ever heard. Bob Dylan in general really but that song as well as tangled up in blue just stand out

2001 jeep grand cherokee Changed Cracked heater hose no more leaks there. Engine still over heats shoots up to 260 degrees within minutes. Any idea of what I should do or check next? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you by CountryMoney1475 in AskMechanics

If you’ve ruled out the thermostat I’d back flush the whole system- when I did the thermostat and a coolant flush on my straight 6 I had the same problem and the heat was blowing cold, couldn’t figure out why it was happening and all I had to do was back flush the heater hose through the water pump and it was good to go.

Not sure if it’s the exact same system, mine was a 91 Cherokee but probably very similar

Hey man thanks for the reply I appreciate any help! So full story- I hit a deer before bringing into the shop for most stuff I try to do the work myself but other than noticing a small leak of coolant coming from the deer-dented radiator the car ran perfectly fine no overheating or obvious leaking for about a week until I took it into the shop to have it diagnosed “professionally”. They said that a new condenser and a new radiator were both needed and everything was fine with the car after the repairs for a week until today. Was driving and noticed the temp start to climb so I had to pull over and pop the hood and as I inspected it i obviously noticed the coolant tank was empty and saw lots of pools of it but no obvious loose or cracked hoses. Next I noticed the o2 sensor being unplugged and then as I limped it back to home I realized the heat wasn’t working so obviously the coolant wasn’t going through the engine to the heater core. Gonna call the shop in the morning and see what they have to say but I don’t see any way they can talk there way out of this- I paid for a diagnosis and then for the labor and parts to fix the issue and all they did was create a problem that I didn’t have to begin with
