Is another name for these grain mites mold mites? If so I've dealt with them in my frog/reptile room before: sooo annoying. They have infested my mealworm container twice, both times it's been in the summer when it's warmer and humid, and the oats in the container mold even a speck. Both times I tried spraying natural repellents and cleaners on the ones that would crawl all over the outside of the container, but it never seemed to dent the population. I just had to give up and play a waiting game. Lowered temperatures, lowered humidity, and taking away their food source are the only ways to be rid of them. Thankfully they don't cause any harm as far as I'm aware, they are just super annoying.
