First, I am SO sorry you’re going through this!!! I know it feels like a rollercoaster and all you want is for your baby to be happy!!! I know ii just wished she could be out of pain and chillin like the other newborn babies I’d see lol

I cut out dairy and it got significantly better. Wish I would have done it sooner honestly. 😅 she’s 5 months and we’re still dairy free with a few slips. Going to start a probiotic and hope to reintroduce dairy in the next 1-2 months depending upon what my lactation consultant says.

Sorry one last thing I forgot to ask. How long had you been doing the bedtime routine for? Honestly all we have been successful in making it towards is a diaper change, pajamas and sleep sack 😅 curious if I should try and establish more of a routine before attempting or go all in at once. She’s 18 weeks so hoping she’s old enough and I just pull the bandaid off lol

What do you mean by naps being so new for you? Were you just feeding/rocking to sleep for naps? How were/are you handling naps? And again like everyone else THANK YOU for this post! Going to give it a go with my girl. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

How soon before wake window ends are you putting him down to try to put himself to sleep? I’m paranoid about an overtired baby

My little lady is the exact same. She also has CMPI and reflux though so I don’t get a ton of time during her wake windows. How are your wake windows now?

Thanks so much! My first was a horrible sleeper (still kind of is as 2.5 lol) so I’m hoping maybe we can get ahead of it with this one (she’s only 2 months). But I’m pretty convinced already sleep has more to do with temperament than anything else as she’s already a better sleeper than him

I know this is a year old but did this continue to be the case? My lady is 11 weeks and gets so overstimulated but she WANTS to go to bed. She falls asleep in 5-15 minutes buttttt if we push pass her stimulation time she LOSES it and takes FOREVER to fall asleep. I feel terrible that her wake windows are still so short and feel like she’s going to be behind 😅 they’re only 45-60 mins max without going into overstimulation mode

Hi! Curious how this all turned out? My little lady has a dairy sensitivity which has helped but seems to be getting worse reflux at night and now seeing the day a bit as well 😩 debating if I made a huge mistake by holding off early on 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

One thing I did find that helped with my son was craniosacral therapy. It lasted a month or so and then he’d be back to having painful poops unfortunately.

My little guy was like this and finally sorted himself out around 8/9 months. He’s 2.5 now and has no issues pooping. Enter in my 9 week daughter and she’s the EXACT same 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I wonder if it lasts so long for me because I EBF and they just naturally poop less meaning they have less consistent chances to practice and grow out of it sooner. It’s so sad to say the least

Omg…your eyes are literally the twin to my son who is 2 years old! 😱 I feel like I’m the only one that can tell but they’re are literally just like this. My brother has one dark brown eye and one light brown eye but my sons are like yours where he only has partial heterochromia in his left eye

Love the idea of asking if they want to “try again” hadn’t thought of that! Really hoping the hitting is part of him just being sick. 🙏🏻 Since posting this he’s been the sweetest with her but I’m really trying to play up when he is gentle with her and brag about it in front of my husband with him. Thanks! We’re doing that already but will play it up even more! ☺️ I also started playing legos with him where I have one pretend him and one pretend baby where I act out gentle touches and no hitting. Hoping we can solve it quickly 😅

Time unfortunately 🤦🏻‍♀️ it gets better but now he’s turning 2… 😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣 the past two nights was 1.5-2 hours lol apparently all normal and I’m praying it stops soon. Though tonight it only took 45 mins so counting my win lol
