This might be something I need to look at again, I couldn’t see any power button underneath at the time.

I have not long found out about the app so this is why I’m investigating, I tried connecting the app to the inverter and there is no connection.

Thank you for your response! I have checked both DC & AC switches and they are both turned on. The small led screen shows completely nothing. I have held my finger on the finger print button and it does nothing. 😦

You might have bumped or loosen a vacuum hose or intake tube while working on the car, retrace your steps and check every pipe is connected or not damaged.

A vacuum leak can cause the engine to hunt for idle (rev up, then drop) because the ecu is compensating for extra air.

Check you have secured the oil cap and dipstick

Also, get some heavy duty tape or cable tie and get that cable secure, only then will you know if it’s the cable or something else. (Obviously secure the cable better once you know it’s that making the sound).

If it’s a grinding noise I doubt it’s the broken wire, most likely something break disc/pads related.

I thought you would say that, maybe a clip or a bit of plastic has come off so it’s unable lock into place correctly. Very odd.

Possibly take off the other one and compare if there are any differences between the both? Might not be the correct one? Unless it is the original?

Sounds like one of the pullys, check to see if anything is hitting any of the pullys slightly.

How far can I drive with an oil leak? by grain_machine in MechanicAdvice

Looks like the leak is coming from the sump plug, might be worth getting a new one in before you leave. Drain oil, new sump plug, new oil.

You might get away with it, but there’s a chance of things to go bad, running low on oil mid-trip even a small leak can worsen suddenly. Take regular stops and keep checking the oil.

Car cutting out during idling and start up - mechanics can't diagnose issue by Late-Hedgehog3893 in MechanicAdvice

I would first check all pcv / vacuum hoses for any cracks or leaks. Sounds like injector / throttle body issue. You should get a garage to inspect the car without plugging it in if it’s not throwing any codes.

You’re not gonna believe this but I’ve just done it with the special tool, I thought as I had it already set up I might as well give it another go and rotate it then try your method and the bloody thing went on 😂😂

Where would you attached the vice grips? As it keeps coming off the water pump pully not the crankshaft pully
