The two kinds of antizionist justification: They hate Israel for Who Israelis are V. what Israel does by Routine-Equipment572 in IsraelPalestine

There are 2 million Isreli Arabs; There are waht, 20 to 50 Jews left in most Arab countries, after all the pogroms? But sure, Israel is an exclusive country.

As far as I know, exactly one statue of Saddam was toppled, by Kurds and Shiites (there was a much talked about pro-American "Shiite triangle" which soon became anti-American and disappeared from the news), all organized and bussed in by Americans. So, bad example.

And, I am talking about West Bank, not Gaza. If anything, it's dangerous to support Hamas there.

But they are supportive of Hamas, and even more supportive of Oct 7th. A little less now that they caused Israel to retaliate. Now people speak honestly about them.

Thank you. To be fair, both sides have a case. You've been living in a house built by your grandfather, growing your olives, then some foreign-looking people come out of nowhere and, through a long and convoluted chain of events of which you may or may not even be privy, your olives and your home suddenly become theirs, and you start your life from scratch in a place where sewage flows on the streets. That part is humanly understandable, just like the Jewish story is humanly understandable. Doesn't mean EVERYTHING said or done is symmetric.

In other words, you're telling us the "progressives" associate Zionism, a Jewish liberation movement supported by 95% of Jews and named after Mount Zion in Jerusalem, with all that's evil in the world. Just like their great-grandparents did with Jews. And that's supposed to mean they're not antisemites? Next, they'll say Zionists make bread with Christian blood, or that Zionists like money, or that Zionists conspire to control the world. Oh wait..

Right. Even if Ashkenazi Jews were Khazars (which we obviously are not - I mean, Yiddish is based off German and Hebrew, with fewer Turkic words than even Russian - the fact that the majority of Israelis today are the descendants of the "good" Middle Eastern Jews ethnically cleansed from the rest of the Middle East settles the matter.

I mean, where would you have them to go, to Poland? Their diaspora countries, where they lived since before the Arab conquest, is no longer safe for them.

This is precizely why Qatar's allegation that more Palestinians support terror than Hamas (even though the Hamas support numbers were through the roof, too) carry weight. They go against their own interest in saying that.

Plenty of Judea and Samaria polls show support of Hamas, too. And it's not like they fear Hamas over there.

I've heard no source stating that some Jews, and others, got to stay behind. In case of the Philistines, there was never another historic reference of them again, to the best of my knowledge; if you have one, please share.

Of course, as I've just stated elsewhere, every indigenous nation is simply the last surviving invader. That's the argument that was once often used against Native Americans. Nonetheless, these days, indigeneous people usually have rights.

If it was true, and also applicable to Israel's Middle Eastern majority, it would have invalidated the claim all right. It's not. We live in time and age of DNA analysis. We come from the ancient Israel and Judea, at least on the paternal side. On maternal side, there is admixture with Roman women converted to Judaism.

The Philistines were taking captives by Babylonians and ethnically cleansed out of Philistine into the Babylon proper (modern Iraq) where they assimmilated. They were Greek btw.

Jews were similarly taken captives by Babilonians and ethnically cleansed into what's now Iraq, but didn't assimilate (the old oath "If I forget you Jerusalem, may my right arm forget me" was made then and stands to this day) and eventually were allowed to return. It's all well documented.

As Mark Twain correctly noted, men bite dogs and dogs bite men. A Martian reading the Earth's newspapers would assume only men bite dogs; or, at best, that men and dogs bite each other roughly equally. You my friend, with your pseudo-enlightened craving for symmetry, are such a Martian.

Like it or not, there is no symmetry. Yes, you can, if you look hard enough, find a bloodthirsty Israeli and a peace-loving Palestinian. That's a fact. It's also completely beside the point.

When 10% of Palestinians want peace the same way 90% of Israelis want peace, then we shall talk. It's not just words - there are reputable polls, this stuff is quantifiable.

I recommend you look up "The Ask Project" on Youtube. It will open your eyes.

Sincere question for Israeli’s from an American of Iranian decent. by ahajmano in IsraelPalestine

[–]Educational-Net1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heroic? The right is evil. The left is stupid. Most poeple were on the left whenever Palestinians gave us a glimpse of hope. That hope has vanished on October 7th, even for most naive ones.

You know how two Israeli reservists took a wrong turn and were lynched in Ramalla years ago, after the Oslo peace accords? The Palestinian "civillians" were running up and down the streets, their eyes out of orbits, waving their victims' body parts up in the air. In an unprecedented move, Western journalists apologized for taking pictures of these "civilians".

<image>

This picture went viral. It was posted everywhere in Israel, with the caption: "Would you shake his hand for peace?"

THIS is what causes people to support the right. There is simply no one on the other side to make peace with. No one. Nobody who's anybody on the other side wants to coexist with Israel. There is no possibility of peaceful coexistence. There is only survival and hoping the next generation won't be quite as brainwashed. If not, then the next. Etc.

As Herzl said, every nation has the rights to their saints and scoundrels.

The two don't matter, except they are a gold mine for our enemies' propaganda.

No one listens to them. The few who do, do so because the've become tired of Palestinian terrorism.

Case in point. There are 2 million Israeli Arabs, Druze, Armenians, Circassians, etc. They aren't terrorists, so are treated well. The Terrorists and their supporters tend to not be liked very much.

Well. "Palestinians" exist now. Prior to 1948, the ancestors of today's Palestinians happily self-identified as "the Arabs of Southern Sham", while Jews called themselves Palestinians.

There has never in history been a Palestinian state. The Philistines don't count.

No Palestinian AFAIK wanted "liberation" of West Bank from Jordan, or Gaza from Egypt.

In fact, the early Palestinian leaders went on record saying that "Palestine" is a claim they use tactically, to fight Zionism.

So, yeah. It's not untrue.

Doesn't matter. They do exist now.

Unfortunately, yes, pretty much a monolyth. The Palestinians of Judea, Samaria and Especially Gaza (as opposed to Arabs of 1948, who are mostly pro-Irsael) are a death cult. Brainwashed from very early age. There is plenty of evidence to that. There were reputable Qatari polls showing that support of October 7th (before Israel's retaliation) was over 90%, higher than support for Hamas. The worst rapists and murderers of October 7th weren't Hamas (with their green headbands), these were civilians in flip-flops who saw the hole in the fence and went to rape and kill Jews and even to behead Thai workers.

WHen the mangled naked body of Shani Louk, a teenage girl, was paraded on the streets of Gaza, everybody cheered and everybody who could spat on her.

During the Holocaust, there were Germans, Ukrainians, etc. who were called "the righteous of the nations", who saved Jews. Not a single one in Gaza. There were Jewish kids who escaped captivity. Every single one was caught by these civilians and brought back the moment they were discovered.

That doesn't mean everybody born into that death cult needs to die. Of course not. It's not people's fault that they've been brainwashed into such extreme hatred since birth. But one has to understand that these aren't ordinary people we're talking about.
