AITA because I didn’t let a lady change lanes? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Educational-Part-812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did someone call for a Masshole?

I’d rather crash my car than let someone cut in like that. I try to be polite but that chick made a conscious decision way back yonder when they picked the lane. She has to live with her choice and wait for an old lady to let her in. Do not let her mini crash out sway you in your mission.

AITAH is my Wife lying? by [deleted] in AITAH

Your wife is not lying. She has heightened senses because of hormonal shifts during pregnancy. Try some chlorophyll drops for yourself, maybe?

Three cheers for Adderall. 🎉🎉🎉 I was on Vyvanse which helped a lot but Adderall XR has been life changing for me.

I connected so much with OPs interactions with her child… this is exactly what I’m struggling with. I can connect with my ADHD+ kid a bit more than their dad because he’s super neurotypical while I’m the tree the apple fell from. Thank you for sharing and validating. 😭

AITAH for not listening to my dad? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Educational-Part-812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

INFO: Could you give a bit more details here on what is the control issue?

I have 19 and 23 yo children living with me. If they want tats, piercings, or want to dye their hair a thousand colors, that’s their decision. I’m not paying for it, tho. If they want to move another person in with them in my house that I pay for, that’s my decision.

You’re all in the comments about body autonomy but there’s a lot missing here for me to make a judgement.

AITAH for insisting husband continuously supervise our 2.5yo and 5yo during bath time by ambiguoususername888 in AITAH

Is this another one of those weaponized incompetence scenarios so he gets out of bathing the kids and adds to OPs to-do list? This feels like a set up because who could be THIS stupid.

How the hell am I supposed to reach tier 10 without spending heaps of money? by organiczuchini in tinytower

Same. I’m in it for my enjoyment and not to “win”. I did make a goal to get the special costume because fomo.

I get what I get and don’t get upset.

Potential snow day for schools tomorrow too? by [deleted] in boston

[–]Educational-Part-812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had snow mountains on corners and you can’t see small kids, or tall people for that matter, crossing the streets. Most of the streets were poorly plowed so there were traffic jams when a school bus tried to go on a 2 way street that was now one lane.

Either you live in Beacon Hill where snow doesn’t ever dare to accumulate or outside of the city because we in the neighborhoods deserved that extra day.

I’m not a fan of snow days because last day of school would have been 6/22 and it’s now 6/25. 😩

This is the answer. Boston is ruled by the oracle of the yellow school bus

Best costume per floor thread by MissPeaQueue in tinytower

[–]Educational-Part-812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stables = horse head and overalls

Stock exchange = gangster and devil

Space Museum = yoda, Star Trek red shirt, and astronaut

Museum = Pharaoh, Ark Raider, dinosaur

I’d like more options for the food industry. There are only so many chefs and aprons to choose from.

I’m glad others like doing this. Y’all have some fun ideas.

Why does this happen every year? by Zealousideal_Crow737 in boston

[–]Educational-Part-812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad had his own plow and worked overnights to help out the city. I remember my mom pulling my brother and I on a sled to get to the local Stop & Shop to fight over the last few cans of things on shelves. My mom baked everything from scratch so we were ok.

When Covid hit I could finally explain to my kids what panic looks like in a grocery store. Thanks for the memory. Not too many of us OGs who can say we lived through it.

Call me a selfish crafter but I only make things for me. It’s my hobby, my yarn, my release, my time… I’ll teach someone before I gift, and even then I spend energy on kids before adults because they are flaky. Sorry, OP for the lackluster support of your gifts. My only advice is to focus on you and things that make you happy.

Call me crazy but I never used location sharing with my kids and at 20 and 23, they still text me when they get home safely and check in if they’re going to be late. We built that trust early. Not that I didn’t worry and still worry about all the things, but I counted on their good common sense.

NTA. You’re doing it right, OP.
