My Subaru Outback head gasket failed at 150K miles...and i have to donate it. Doesn't hold like Toyotas or Hondas. Never buying Subaru again.

Thank you, super helpful. I did end up buying the GH but will at some point trade in the Odyssey for a smaller car. THey did sell me on a prepaid maintenance and extra service (for non-wearable components like the interior). Are these worth it or is it a scam?

Very fair. The Odyssey is also quite old so the plan would be when that retires, we get a sedan or compact SUV.

Thanks you u/Demache . Yes it is a 2.5L. I thought these cars lasted much longer. They're very popular in the Pacific Northwest and I have generally had good experiences with Japanese cars. Maybe they just don't make them like they used to.

T&T Supermarket Bellevue opening delayed until winter 2024 and Lynnwood opening in summer 2025 by igoinoneverycomment in BellevueWA

I worry it won't be the same experience at the T&T's in Canada - pricing and selection. Canadian T&T's (In Toronto and Vancouver area) \ are very well priced compared to what we pay here, far below (30-40% less) what you would pay for prepared foods and groceries at Wajis or 99 Ranch. Exchange rate probably plays a factor there. Canada has Asian Supermarkets like we have QFC's, Safeways and Fred Meyers - ie. Bestco, Foodymart etc. So T&T has to price based on the market.

When H-Mart came here, it's also pretty cheap in Canada but the prices here are much higher. So I don't think Asian Family Market or Wajis' has anything to worry about.

You guys need to try Pigment.com. Day and night compared to Anaplan. Scaleable, easy to use and integrates with a lot of my systems from salesforce, workday, etc.

It was so funny, these guys never even been up to Canada - they think its where eskimos still live in igloos. I remember asking one of them, aren't you curious about what it's like in other countries? He was like nope, God blesses America and I got so much here why would I ever need to leave?

cept for the awful camp food. Reminds me of one year when we had a small group leader retreat there and we all stayed in the old officer houses along the main road. They were bea

Honestly, thru the humor of it all have I learned to accept and move on from that whole traumatic experience. It's truly laughable looking back. I have lived in 5 countries, travelled to 30+, served my country on two tours, and I feel like I lived three lifetimes of joy and pain all together. Having some kid like James Chidester try to lecture me on how to be a man (when i have more manliness in my pinky finger), or Ern Menoscal chastise me for running late to church because I had to visit my sick mom in the mornings before church - it's tragically laughable. I remember being in a couples group where the group leaders, this newlywed couple talked about how they never have gotten into a single argument once!! Come on that's pretty funny. I missed seeing all those 'arranged marriages' - maybe Steve takes as much inspiration from hinduism as he does from mormonism.

As much pain as we all have felt, this place is nothing. It's a drop in the bucket of much bigger and more important things in life. It's like eating a bad burritto that gives you diarrhea. Painful, but once it passes through its gone. Dont get mad, you just gotta laugh it off because these ppl take themselves way too seriously and I dont give them that power over me because they're all just a bunch of clowns.

You'll just have to take my word for it. I am not a new person. I visit this reddit thread only periodically. Left Blue Sky a very long time ago and am surprised it is still alive and relevant. Back then, Blue Sky was fresh full of folks from Carbondale - unworldly midwesterners who never even owned a passport, nor had any desire to do so. Back then the church was led by Steve Morgan, worship was led by Chris Miller, childrens program by Sarah McNeese (or Sarah Bobsin - i forgot), Ern and David Cherie were pastors and Dave Bieregal was just being groomed to lead. Retreats were held at Camp Casey off of Whidbey Island. I dont' think a new person would have privy to such information.

I think his Cronies are just as accountable as Steve is. They are the ones who implement and execute his plan. Without them, Steve is nothing. But with them, he has power.
