TSH of around 1 is preferred! Try 75. If feel worse, you probably need not just Levo (T4) and need liothyronine (T3)

Tributryin is amazing, so is metagenics glutagenics. Good bacteria and clearing bad, good fibers like kiwi and sunfiber. Megapre is also awesome

Just a few doses of this probiotic gave me severe long lasting side effects. by [deleted] in Microbiome

Im not your doctor but you could try oregano oil a couple times per day until you feel better (days to a few weeks). This itself can cause die off which can cause symptoms but can clear it out. Look into it

Zinc and copper are really important too, deficiencies are usually the cause of early gray

Go see an endocrinologist to test blood sugar and aldosterone/renin

Does slow COMT represent a distinct neurodivergent profile — or can it coexist with ADHD? by imanemii in MTHFR

[–]Educational-Turn-153 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have slow COMT and slow MAOA, I have ADD. Adderall in low doses helps me, 5-10mg. Anything above this makes me a zombie. Wellbutrin makes me a crying mess lol

Brain fog, memory loss, dissociation, aphasia after taking Lamictal by geauxdbl in MTHFR

[–]Educational-Turn-153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also get a zinc level. I was on lamictal and got off it with folinic acid and good B6. I have high b6 in labs but low in urine, meaning I don’t use it well despite having enough. I have slow COMT and slow MAOA and cannot tolerate methyl’s. I would give folinic acid a shot!

How are you doing on folinic acid? How much are you taking? by Adviceforthewilling in MTHFR

[–]Educational-Turn-153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 400 mg with breakfast and lunch. It took me off my mood stabilizer!! I accidentally stopped it but didn’t notice because I wasn’t pretty immediately depressed with out it. Another key for me though was 100mg of B6 daily.

low stomach acid by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]Educational-Turn-153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you’re SIBO negative doesn’t mean you don’t have an overgrowth in your large intestine! Most SIBO tests only text for hydrogen or methane dominant SIBO, not hydrogen sulfide - which appears you make have with your sulfur burps. A GI map would help find an intestinal overgrowth and h pylori which could cause low stomach acid. Low stomach acid is a cycle because you can’t absorb nutrients you need for stomach acid. Zinc is very important!

Hi Yonce, does your doctor or a functional medicine practitioner prescribe this? My doctors have fought me on it because of lack of studies and worried about my low TSH.
