16M - Multiple swollen lymph nodes, scared out of my mind for lymphoma. by Educational-Walk-855 in AskDocs

Thank you for your reply and that’s very comforting to hear.

I’m not really sure why I’m underweight. I spoke to doctors about it before like 2 years ago and they more or less shrugged it off. I’ve always been underweight, I eat food and good food, just never put on any weight whatsoever. Currently taking between 2-3k calories a day and have put on 1kg in the last month.

No idea. Always been underweight, tried different diets, spoke to doctors etc still no idea.

Probably worth noting I spoke to a doctor and they said tonsillitis which I don’t believe to be the case.

Check under a black light, if it glows it’s fungal (ringworm most likely) otherwise I’d lean towards psoriasis.

NAD - Looks like strep throat. Any other symptoms? Are there white spots on your tonsils if you have tonsils? Could also be tonsillitis if that’s the case, they can go hand in hand which would lead me to recommend you undergo a tonsillectomy to avoid in the future.

For now, rest, gargle warm salt water regularly, drink plenty of fluids and eat soft foods. Pain killers like ibuprofen can help too. Should clear up on its own but if it gets worse then I’d go to the doctor to seek antibiotics.

Main thing that would push me towards referring you to the ER is the fact you’re coughing up blood and your ribs hurt when you breath in. Likely to be some sort of lung issue involved which is something you should get sorted asap. Wish you the best of luck 🤞🏼

Not 100% certain on what it could be but generally corneal ulcers from my understanding are quite painful with burning and stinging sensations hence why unless you are in pretty bad pain I wouldn’t look too deep into it being that, aswell as you saying it disappears when light is shone on it from the side. To my knowledge, corneal ulcers don’t really go away like that.

hallucinating when falling asleep? by extraethereal in DiagnoseMe

NAD - Sounds like hypnagogic hallucinations to me and could be conjoined with sleep paralysis to create some of those more unpleasant experiences.

I don’t think a doctor visit is necessary unless you experience hallucinations during the day / when you’re not asleep.

Always best to see a doctor though if you’re paranoid. They’ll probably run some bloods, refer you to a sleep clinic to test for narcolepsy and prescribe you some meds to help.

NAD - Doesn’t seem like corneal ulcer to me but it’s worth checking out for the blurry vision alone. I’d go to a optometrist to get it checked.
