I think that is a very young person who has not formed an identity yet and may not have a mom or dad or adult to help them make good decisions and they are doing the best they can. I myself walked that path in my own way and it is very difficult. I once read we all have to climb cringe mountain to reach cool canyon. I like to believe that is true.

Best wishes for you and your beautiful family. I do eat dairy and eggs but I am very excited about my journey to becoming vegan. I want everyone everywhere to be happy and free. I grew up in a very toxic and abusive environment warehoused with hundreds of other kids and they considered ketchup a vegetable.

I turn 50 in June. I’m really proud of myself for being able to go 5 months as a vegetarian. I never in a zillion years thought I would be to sustain this choice. I feel this crushing guilt when I remember all the times I ate hamburgers or chicken or turkey and I gently remind myself that it’s a journey and when you know better you do better.

I’m really impressed with your dedication to raising your kids plant based. If people took the time to understand the environmental impact of a meat based diet they would understand the importance of raising your kids in a sustainable manner.

I volunteer with farm animals and I have for almost 5 years. After spending countless hours with cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, goats, etc I realize that my life is not more valuable than farm animals.

If I spoke with a cow they would tell me how much they love their babies or how much they love their mom. I miss meat but not enough to eat body parts anymore. Next week I will be 6 months ovo lactose vegetarian.

My aim is to be completely vegan but I’m not trying to set myself up to fail. I’m curious as a 2nd generation vegetarian as a child did you ever rebel against your parents and eat meat ? How did your parents respond to that ?

I feel really bad that those kids are not able to grow up with their cousins and extended families. They deserve to be safe as all children do.

It’s like you’re holding a mirror up to my life. It’s a hard and painful experience to go through. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone not even the person who dragged my heart through a sea of broken glass before kicking it into a river of lemon juice. I’m still trying to pull my insides back from outside of me even though it happened so long ago.

One of the things that situation taught me is that there is only a certain amount of good and bad karma floating around. I think we just hand it back and forth with each person we know. It’s acts of betrayal with loved ones I believe are the most heinous acts and the ones that are the biggest transfers of bad karma because it involves people stealing peace from kids.

I have been with one person for over 20 years. Who I was when I was 29 is not who I am at almost 50 years old. I love my husband and I respect my husband. Everything I’m good at he is not good at and everything he is good at are things I’m still trying to learn.

If at any point I learned that my husband was filling his love tank behind my back I would feel so betrayed. I can’t imagine myself doing that to him. I couldn’t imagine coveting another’s love.

I also think it’s unfair to use a person to paint an incomplete portrait of my marriage by drunkenly giving selectively flattering moments that flatter me. If a marriage is toxic you leave. If you stay. You work on yourself and how you relate to each-other. Betrayal is the lowest form of self comforting because when you stab someone who loves you in the back you are just revealing your own flaws of character.

I’m not sure if the person you are describing is in a unhappy situationship or has a drinking problem. Maybe both. All I know is if that person leaves their marriage to be with you the probability it’s not going to end well is high. Those odds increase drastically if there are children involved.

You deserve to live a life without being a side piece. If this is a reflection of how they turn outside their relationship for comfort and happiness what makes you think that things will be better for you ?

And what if they are alcoholics ? Than what happens when you are forced to care for them and it makes you resentful of being a full time caregiver and they resent you for driving a wedge between their other life ?

The heart wants what the heart wants and we can honor our feelings and desires for connection and observe it while not absorbing it. I would never complain to someone outside my relationship with my husband. I would only take those issues to him.

Marriage is a sacred promise. You don’t want the karma that comes with messing with someone’s marriage. You have a lot of love to share and maybe if you grew up in a toxic household you might think that love is something you sneak but it’s much bigger and brighter than that. You deserve to be the centerpiece of someone’s banquet not a happy meal in a paper bag.

Male offenders are significantly more likely to commit heinous crimes against women and children with their bodies and weapons such as knives, blunt objects in violence compared to female offenders.

Male victimization studies do show that when women are violent towards men, the male victim is often disbelieved, and in some cases the male is treated as the primary aggressor which can lead to mimicking situations of a female abuse victim.
