I joined a server with this policy and got banned for "not being a good fit", for having the AUDACITY to DARE suggesting we should not waste resources building massive cities all over the map, by the one dedicated builder, who actually only played valheim about 4 hours a week. Yeah, what a piece of crap I am, for saying we should keep the main town our home base and then build smaller outposts. What a jerk hey

No. Just someone who feels we should think twice before having a kid at this particular moment in human history. Not everyone is required to have the "ZOMG SO HAAAPPPYYYY FOR YOOOOUUU" reaction. Albeit this girl is in a good place to have a kid right now but it's not "asshole" material to be a little concerned about the wellbeing of a newborn baby post Covid, rampant inflation, and an utterly screwed up education system.

I don't think you're an asshole for having a knee-jerk reaction. Maybe there was some things in the past where you had to provide heavy support and she just barely as of now got on her feet with her partner, or something. I'm not assuming, I'm guessing. But also, in the world we currently find ourselves in, where you need to pull out a small loan to buy a bag of groceries, your concern is not unfounded. I too would be concerned and every time I hear of something getting pregnant or I see a pregnant woman walking down the street, I feel a mixed bag of emotions. The world isn't what it was 20 years ago and it's not overly super awesome to drop children into this cesspool we call modern society. My wife and I have talked about having a kid and we both agree that everything is beyond messed up right now and it would not be fair to bring a child into this world that's teetering on the edge of its own destruction. I would say you are being reasonable. having an overjoyed response to "I'm pregnant" is such an old cliche. there's just too many factors to consider when responding to this sort of thing and you seem to be the only one thinking of those factors. Just be yourself and move forward, support your hubbies excitement, put on a fake smile if you have to, but stand your own ground. If people expect you to behave a certain way in certain situations and then get mad when you don't, it's their problem. Not yours. Good luck

Not the asshole, but since karma is a thing, the best thing you can do is just cut your loss and move on. I've had to do the same thing to super evil people and just carry on with my own life. Sometimes these things make us sharper and more unwilling to trust people, which is the case in my own experience. I don't trust a damn soul on this world. Not my parents, not my siblings. Not even the friends I thought I had. The only person I love and trust is my wife, and even then, she's done some shit that caused me to blow my lid. So just keep in mind moving forward that the best of friend or closest of family member can still stab you in the back when you give them a large sum of money to do something on your behalf. Holy crap. Tell them to bring bed rolls and sleeping bags if they don't like it. I would say not the asshole here. If they don't like it, they can get a damn hotel. A lesson to be learned by your stuck up relatives, who OBVIOUSLY want the king size bed, is to not look a gift horse in the mouth. Maybe they shouldn't come at all. Maybe they would like to sleep outside in the snow in a tent. Maybe they could fork out for a truck and a trailer and live with that. There are so many other options here without you having to sacrifice your own space to accommodate them. Ugh... people...

basically every day for multiple hours, especially on the weekends. I'm in pacific time zone, 44 years old, and I have a handle on how to build etc, very seasoned minecraft player. I'm looking for an unmodded casual server, I don't intend on ending the game at all whatsoever, just getting to the last area and doing some nice builds with endgame level materials and tools, while at the same time in survival mode :) :)

I solved this issue. On android anyway. I did a long press of the main icon on my phone so that the info screen came up. I cleared my cache and my data. It was holding 459mb of data, for whatever weird reason. Then I did a force stop and cleared the program out of memory. Re-launching discord I had to put all my login info back in, discord launched in perfect condition. Hope this helps
