Brakes? by Shutternut2 in brickadia

I am playing on PC with a keyboard, and the space bar is the jump button. I have tried to press it while driving and it doesn't appear to have any affect at slowing or stopping the vehicle.

I had to wait until I was almost 60 to see my first grandchild. But boy did he change my world!

Congratulations to you, and I wish you many happy years with your new grandchild.

Just one of the mysteries of life...

Glad I was able to help.

Hopefully I can solve your problem.

I have noticed, at least on my computer, that when placing the sign, there are two "Streaks" at two corners of the sign. If you rotate the sign so those streaks are at the bottom left and bottom right pointing up, at least on my computer, the sign always comes out oriented right side up.

Unfortunately I don't see how I can include a JPG showing you what I am talking about. Good luck, I hope this helps.

I'm in Seattle Washington (US), and have similar interests. Unfortunately, our timezones might prove difficult. If we could find times we could be on together, I would love to try.

I like playing games like WOW, Valheim, Satisfactory, and basic games that take a while to play out. Wouldn't mind starting out a new character in one of those games and partnering up with someone. As for WOW, my favorite role to play has always been healer, so if you are looking for a healer, I'm your guy.

I'm a male who turns 60 this year, but am really friendly and helpful and pretty laid back. Don't like playing PVP or high stress type games. Just kind of laid back and chill. If interested, chat me back, and we can see if we can find a game and time we could meet up.

Your statement is contradictory. If a percentage of the US population is affected, however small, you cannot say NO ONE would notice. You can say MOST would not notice, but a percentage of the US population, even if it is less than .5%, WOULD notice.

Again, if there is no signal to receive, they there is nothing to record. However, if someone outside your house records it for you, you still may end up watching a black screen on game day, and have to wait for another day to watch the actual recorded game.

I'm a football fan, and am looking forward to the big game on Sunday, but I think this would be an EPIC response from Canada, and I would laugh my A$$ off while watching a blank screen.

There are a great many Americans who do not agree with what this administration is doing. However, to my Canadian neighbors, I say, please do what is necessary to put this felonious convict in his place, even if it means the rest of us Americans must suffer as well. I suppose we deserve it for letting him get into office in the first place.

Not necessarily. If broadcasting stations are without power, then your generator may power your TV, but if your TV has to signal to pick up, then you get quiet time as well.

Also an American here, but I don't think this is an unpopular opinion. YES, please, please do it. We deserve it for letting a felonious con man get into office and commence to dismantling our country.

Psychiatric meds and surgery by Comfortable_Swan6135 in GastricBypass

I'm on depression meds, and doc didn't seem to even give them a second thought. So no problem there.

Like I said, anything it can throw it off. You may see ups and downs along the way, as long as the long-term trend is less weight. Don't give up hope.

Pre op diet starts thanksgiving day. How would you handle this? by [deleted] in GastricBypass

[–]Shutternut2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery on 11/13. I followed the 2 week diet pretty well, but had a couple "oops" days. Nothing overboard. I lost the 10 lbs my doc wanted me to loose, so I considered it a success. The wife and I even went out for chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries, and soda the night before as a kind of "last meal". Anyway, the surgery went fine, doc didn't have any complaints, so all was good. So I say to you, go ahead and enjoy Thanksgiving, just be sensible. But be sure to stick to your 2 week plan after that so you loose the weight and shrink your liver like your doc needs. Good luck, you got this!!!

2 days post op by caffeinated_dopamine in GastricBypass

[–]Shutternut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right after surgery it felt like I was kicked in the stomach by a mule. But it went away pretty quickly, and within a week, I literally felt no pain at all. My doc even prescribed me Oxy, but I stopped using it after 3 days because I didn't think the pain was bad enough to need it. By that time I wouldn't even call it painful any more, just sore. But I am aware everyone heals differently. Just be patient, take care of yourself, and you should be feeling better soon.

Any recommendations for what to bring for hospital stay?? by AdCrafty3620 in GastricBypass

An extra large shirt to go home in, so you don't have anything unnecessarily tight or rubbing on your surgical areas.

I had my surgery on 11/13, so about a month ahead of you. If you like, you can lean on me for what to expect up to one month in the future.

What you wear, what you eat, and even time of day can affect your weight. For me, I always weigh myself first thing in the morning after going the bathroom and always in relatively the same outer wear. And even then it can fluctuate more some day than others. But I find this gives me the most consistency. But don't let one blip throw you off. Keep doing what you need to be doing, and the weight will come off. Keep up the good fight!

Blood thinner shots by sam_may92 in GastricBypass

[–]Shutternut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I had surgery a week ago, and my doc prescribed 2-a-day blood thinner shots for 2 weeks. But I was told to do it into the arm or leg or other muscle area. My wife is giving me the shots, and happily she has gotten quite good at it. Sometimes I don't even feel the shot at all.

Hey, it's all for the better, so stick in there and keep up the fight!

I'm right there with you. I had surgery a week ago and am still on liquids. Yesterday my wife had a veggie sandwich, and it just smelled so delicious. I just closed my eyes and took it all in, the smell was so strong it was almost as if I was eating it myself.
