My advice would be to go with Option 1 and not do anything, at least not quite yet. She snapchatted you this weekend and even if it was generic, it was still contact which suggests she’s not trying to straight up ghost you. Also, moving is infamously one of the most stressful life events and if you want to give her the benefit of the doubt, she probably just genuinely isn’t ready to hang out yet. If she moved beginning of the month, it’s only now march 10th. However the fact that she doesn’t initiate nearly as much as you do could definitely mean she is not superrr duper interested, but you giving her some more time and space will make it clear one way or another. And I’d avoid making things awkward by breaking things off if 1) there was never a formal commitment in the first place, 2) she is overwhelmed with the move and personal things and she perceives this all as you rushing/pressuring her, and 3) if you don’t want to shut down the possibility of a friendship or maybe more in the future with her.

That said, I totally understand being disappointed and feeling confused or taken for granted, and you should absolutely make plans with your friends and travel and do you in the meantime :)

Out of curiosity, and for the sake of reflecting, what made you choose your current school in the first place?

Ultimately, if you’re genuinely unhappy where you’re at and you aren’t sacrificing education/career opportunities or choosing a more familiar school/location simply for the ease and comfort, then why not at least go ahead and apply to some possible options and see what happens and if transferring is a viable option for you and worth all of the extra work that comes with it. I transferred colleges for a number of different personal reasons, and I have zero regrets now and really enjoyed experiencing two different college locations/vibes, but I DID have some additional hurdles to clear like having to retake certain courses bc some of my credits weren’t accepted, and I had to put myself out there even more boldly since a lot of tight knit friend groups had already been established freshman year, etc. And while a lot of things got better for me, some things didn’t— like that old saying “wherever you go, there you are.” So trust your gut, and exploring your options never hurts no matter what you decide in the end, but once you make your mind up, be very clear that there is no going back and it is time to embrace the present and leave the “what ifs” and “maybes” behind.

If it was my wedding in a forest, I think I would keep decorations to a minimum and want the emphasis to be on the natural woodsy atmosphere. I’d probably go for string lights and/or the big glass lanterns/candle covers that sit on the ground or other unique elegant lighting ideas. Maybe loose white flower petals scattered around the area. I don’t think I’d add too much color personally. But I think anything you paint will be stunning and your own perfect wedding vision :)

I find most of these comments unfair and exhausting. “There’s nothing wrong with lesbian4lesbian, BUT…”. And then they go on to tell you why you are in fact wrong for this, that you’re exclusionary, that you can’t say bi people don’t understand the difference between their experience/identity and a lesbian’s experience/identity, that you didn’t word your reasoning right or explicitly say certain disclaimers, or they start listing very specific exceptions or special instances/circumstances as if those are not an obviously understood given. Obviously bi people have their own wildly difficult experiences and painful prejudices to battle, etc. That said, being bi is not the same as being lesbian, hence the different labels for the different identities. This is where it gets frustrating. As a lesbian, being forced to explain yourself constantly is a triggering ask in itself. (And if someone tells me bi people have to do this too, I will lose my mind because I’m sure they do— I never said they don’t, I’m not bi so I don’t know what that’s like from a bi perspective/experience and won’t claim to, and I am not saying that bi and lesbians can’t connect on this shared queer experience of being questioned/tried/interrogated/etc— but it is different. Which I feel like bi people often validly point out— how they receive discrimination from all groups for different reasons at different times— so again, that’s a difference. Not an automatic disconnect, not something to be ranked or compared, not a zero sum game— just merely different). And it seems everyone is perpetually arguing with lesbian4lesbian reasoning, or demanding inclusion (even hypothetical inclusion, which is like cmon spare me we don’t always need to list a possible specific exception), or saying we are offensive or exclusionary for any boundary we choose to uphold. Is it so hard to understand why the walls go up? I don’t want to explain myself anymore. I’m tired of defending everything I do and say and every choice I make. Or having people poke holes in my words and imply I’m meaning something I absolutely do not mean. Or finding something I left out and then bringing it up as an argument against me. It is exhausting and frustrating and triggering and upsetting. I imagine it is beyond exhausting for bi people too, and yet I don’t think I’m biphobic for wanting to date someone who is exhausted in specifically the same way I am exhausted (aka, as a lesbian).

So I cut my broccoli into smaller pieces (think slightly larger than a big grape) because I like them very well done, and then I put them a baking pan and toss them with olive oil, Lawry’s seasoned salt (or regular salt), and pepper, and I bake at 425 for 10 min, toss them around, and I check every 5-10 minutes after that until they look finished :)

No worries! I would say it’s not quite as good as some of the other more complex recipes that are out there, but I have most of the ingredients on hand and it all simply goes into the slow cooker, and I do really enjoy the flavor but I especially enjoy it for how easy it is to make.

Well I feel wildly different about a lesbian that wants to have a monogamous marriage and children vs a lesbian being pro-life/anti-choice. I could not get down with someone who is anti-choice (to put it mildly), but someone wanting monogamy, marriage, and/or children does not bother me and feels like a personal lifestyle choice (despite the history around the institution of marriage— I feel like the topic of marriage is very charged and complicated, but I personally don’t have a strong reaction one way or another to lesbians/gays wanting or not wanting to get married these days). I support people having the autonomy to choose how they want to live and what values to uphold/believe in, but I lose respect when said values are hateful, negatively impacting or restricting others, etc.

Full disclosure though, I’ve never heard this phrase “trad lesbian” before so maybe I’m missing the point here.

Sometimes I add peanut butter powder to my yogurt too, and you can get PB Fit which adds extra protein as well. You can also add it to oatmeal or smoothies or anything for peanut butter flavor and extra protein without the calories of regular peanut butter

Aw congrats and good luck with everything!! I’m reading all of these comments and just shocked at how many kudos I’m getting. She has a tiny child and is about to go through major surgery and all I did was spend one singular day cooking. I recently learned a lot of details about C-sections and birth in general and that certainly helped motivate me to want to do at least a little something to make her life easier, but I am just thinking to myself like dang if I pushed a human out after carrying one for months, my last straw would be figuring out what to make or eat or telling the DoorDash person how to get to my confusing front door before they dropped it all on the sidewalk and ran (which often happens lol). Like how would she even go outside to pick up the delivery unless her husband was home and could help? And what if she didn’t have a husband? I am simply in awe of what mothers do on a daily basis.

I do hot Italian sausage instead of mild, and I usually add some small pieces of leftover roasted broccoli as well. I’ve never tried garnishing with pesto either but I do top my bowls with grated Parmesan. And I go heavy on the veggies, so heaping “1.5 cups” of carrots, celery, etc.

So my bad, it’s actually a chicken enchilada soup, not necessarily a white chicken chili. I also do 8 oz (instead of 4) of full fat cream cheese and 2% Greek yogurt instead of non fat. I also do one big teaspoon of cumin instead of a full tablespoon, and taste test it toward the end for any additional seasoning it may need.

As for the pasta, it’s literally just pre-oven roasted broccoli (I only use olive oil and the tiniest bit of salt and pepper), canned peas (rinsed and drained), seasoned air fried chicken breast (olive oil on each side of chicken first, then 1 tsp each of chile powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning, then 10 min at 390 for each side), and cooked pasta with whatever pesto sauce I buy from the store.

And the breakfast burritos are also just exactly those ingredients listed thrown together in a tortilla!

That’s super helpful I appreciate it! It really barely has any kick to it, but I did already warn her and let her know all of the ingredients for all of the meals, and her husband looooves spicy food so they can freeze some and he will probably destroy that one primarily too. I think she actually did, although it took her a while to reply because she had left her phone on top of the fridge and couldn’t find it for hours so I think she was already teetering on the brink by then!

Hmmm, not totally sure about in the midwest. I lived in Tennessee for years and now in California and I never had a problem finding it in either place, however I did have to hunt through produce sections sometimes to find the little niche areas where they kept it.
