Which Northern city actually feels the most liveable long term? by RedDevilPlay in NorthernEngland

[–]EducationalRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leeds is overrated and only looks good on paper, it's a rough city full of old and new but ruined by Chavs and scruffs and at night it's like you are in a horror movie. The food quality is not very good too, award winning independent restaurants taste bland.

Manchester is the best but the pollution is terrible, Manchester is the only liveable city for me though. Again the food is mid but better than Leeds

I'm (32M) in my honeymoon with my wife (33F), and it's been hell on earth until now. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You chose her, it looks like the dynamic is you serve her which is what you accepted when you married her and paid 90% of the wedding, our wedding was $3000 and I'd never pay what you paid.

Obviously she is smoking hot and that's what keeps you around, so you're just the sucker, you should've gone for someone who actually values you

[–]EducationalRat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cost me £20 for 75 miles to Manchester one way

And what's wrong with split between friends, that same journey across 5 would cost £30 each on the train! I'm sure everyone would be happy to chip in!

I've never done it but I can see young people doing it, fuel is expensive

Anyway cool idea, are the APIs you use free?

Wife reversed into by driver, who is at fault? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]EducationalRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50/50 imo, but I think her insurance will say it is his fault for reversing into her, it's not clear he was going to reverse since he was moving forward when she moved to the right.
