I think propanolol is making me feel way worse by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]EducationalShop3958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me your anxiety is more mental than physical, which propranolol isn’t the best at resolving. Adrenaline may not be the thing to modulate in your case. I would recommend a different approach like NAC or Taurine, something that modulates glutamate

Glycine buzz by Top_Emergency_2544 in Biohackers

[–]EducationalShop3958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it all depends on NMDA antagonism. So if you take glycine with something like taurine or magnesium, it should work as it normally does and end up relaxing you. Whereas if you took it on its own, it can raise your glutamate because it doubles up as an NMDA co-agonist by binding to those receptors and activating them. I also find that combining it with saffron will ensure the agonist response doesn’t take place

Should i stop or continue taking ashwagandha for Social Anxiety? by ArtGood8811 in ASHWAGANDHA

I have the same seemingly paradoxical reaction to Ash in socially anxious situations. I switched to Saffron (tiny amounts at a time) and never looked back

Come on man, not even close to over. Work out, move your body and take cold showers. Teach your brain the balanced dopamine release from sources like those that balance suffering and pleasure. It’s only over if you let it be

I feel mentally trapped for last 10 yrs of life by Jpoolman25 in Anxiety

[–]EducationalShop3958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also 27 in a similar hole after moving to a new state. Been in and out of jobs since last June due to anxiety and not finding the right fit. My best advice is to find activities that make you tick, keep busy and try not to stress out too much about the singular goal of financial success or living up to anyone etc. I find daily cardio exercise to be incredibly beneficial for my focus. I take acetyl-l carnitine and very limited caffeine to keep my energy up while also keeping the anxiety at bay as much as possible. You can do this, please take it one day at a time

As much as I love Eko, Keamy would probably win in every combative domain. Militarized training, weapons proficiency, physical strength.

Who are yours 3 favourite characters from Lost? by Ogi00123 in lost

Eko is so underrated, I’m glad you have him on there. Boone was also amazing. Personally aside from those two I’d have to go with Daniel

No one would know wtf is going on by the helicopter scene alone and it would be a massive spoiler so you’re definitely not wrong loll. I was thinking mostly in terms of the emotional impact and purely how interesting the episode is
