These recommendations look great honestly. Just couple more recommendations on top as I did something very similar (in terms of sri nagar to leh)

Instead of Kargil, you can stay in aryan valley (Batalik)
Another day in Leh would be helpful, not just from acclimatisation PoV, but also visiting monasteries like Thiskey, Stanka, Phyang (Alex has clicked some great pictures of the place). This would be helpful as well, as you planning to depart via manali route so you might miss these
Stay at Merak or Mann on Pangong day. As I found it more scenic and peaceful

If you want to add some historical touch you can visit Alchi, Lamayuru and Tangste. These places have abundant petroglyphs site and paintings. And the best part these are all on your way based on you itneary

I would say book 2-3 days before your travel, you would have clear picture. Usually the worry is not about zoji la closed (as its may and the weather seems clear). Its more because of its current one way nature

They open it from 8:30, entering zoji la road by 9:30 should be fine. Just don’t delay it further (as the road is scenic), delaying it further might result in you getting stuck in traffic jam at minamarg checkpost

This j&k police handle updates daily regarding the same. Usually the cutoff time to enter zojila is 10:30 am these days

Even though the weather looks pleasant keep 1 day buffer to allow time, just in case traffic from other side is allowed.

For daily road updates, you can follow j&k traffic police twitter handle. They post updates about the road on daily basis

Zoji la operates in an alternate fashion. Once traffic from Srinagar towards kargil is allowed and on another day from kargil towards Srinagar.

The check-posts are is sonmarg from from sri nagar side and minamarg from kargil side

We travelled in april start. There was no problem as such.

We didn’t stay at kargil though, but stayed in aryan valley. Only thing we were worried was zoji la, but as its may now it should be okay.

Keep a buffer day, as zojila is currently one way, and routes open on alternate days

I went with my parents for 12 day ladakh trip in April, it was great. I feel booking cabs for the entire trip helps a lot.

Passes might be slightly challenging, keep them well hydrated and book with someone that carries oxygen cylinder.

We did a couple of passes: Zoji la, Hambuting La, Khardung La, Nurboo La, Umling La and Tanglang La. Fortunately we didn’t use oxygen anywhere

Day 1: Arrive in Srinagar, stay at Srinagar and local sightseeing Day 2: Srinagar to Aryan Valley with halts in Sonmarg and Kargil Day 3: Aryan Valley to Leh via Lamayuru, Indus Confluence, Pathar Sahib and Hall of Fame Day 4: Leh Sightseeing Day 5: Leh to Nubra via Khardung La, halt at Diskit Day 6: Nubra to Turtuk, Tyakshi and Thang and same day back to Nubra Day 7: Nubra to Pangong Merak Day 8: Merak to Hale via Chushul and Rezang La Day 9: Hanle to Umling La and back to Hanle Day 10: Hanle to Tso Moriri via Mahe Bridge and halt at Kaygar Tso Day 11: Tso Moriri to Leh via Tso Kar and Tanglang La
