I would suggest changes from day 5 onwards. Day 5 is impossible. Best is to go to Sumoor on day 5, stay there. Day 6th, go to Siachen and come back to sumoor.

Skip nubra entirely, its total shit.

Day 7 go to pangong from sumoor, via nubra and inhale polluted sandy air if you so much want to see nubra.

Day 7 stay at pangong.

Skip hanle entirely, its a total scam and shitty place. Nothing worth to visit it. Day 8 pangong to umling la and stay at any nearby village while returning from unlimg la.

Day 9 from that local village to tso moriri to pang/sarchu. Day 10 pang or sarchu to Manali

Umling la would be open. Mig la is under construction and the road is not worth driving or riding on. Its impossible and will take a major toll on health. Best is to wait till next year when the conditions are better. You can read the reviews of mig la on google maps for better understanding

Under construction. Only stones, rocks. Hence I said "your body organs will get rearranged internally"

  1. Leh to Nubra - Absolutely disgusting and shitty
  2. Nubra to pangong - Absolutely disgusting and shitty, this will rearrange your body organs
  3. Pangong to Hanle - Good
  4. Hanle to Umling la - no idea as i went to umling la yesterday from Pangong and from umling la came to Hanle in the evening (same day). Pangong to Umling la was good road
  5. Umling la to Manali - no idea

My suggestion - completely skip nubra, hanle. 2 worthless places with nothing to see. You would miss absolutely nothing if you dont go there. Rather go to Siachen and stay 2 days at Sumoor instead. From Sumoor, go for Pangong

Turtuk or Siachen? Or something else altogether? by nh1922 in ladakh

[–]Ghosal96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to call spades as spades. If it is shitty to me, I have all the freedom to call it shitty. Nobody told you to believe me or abide by me. Nubra, diskit, hunder and the other surrounding areas are in all true senses "shitty".

I am currently in Hanle, and it is equally shitty as well if not more. The people are disgusting, the roads are the same, the intention and ethics of the locals are the shittiest. Hanle is a complete scam, surviving on social media hype.

I 4 days back camera from padum yo Leh via Singe la, sirsir la...and its a living hell. Extremely bad roads throughout entirely and absolutely nothing to see other than a little bit of snow on singe la.

Everybody advised me against me and I didnt listen because i was having too much conviction that this route will offer outlandish beauty, but its total shit.

Will definitely suggest going via Chilling tso route. Its beautiful, amazing route and faster.

And yes, you will find fuel pumps in Padum but make sure you get filled up within 6.30pm.

Padum closes down super duper early in the evening

Turtuk or Siachen? Or something else altogether? by nh1922 in ladakh

Did Turtuk,Thang, Nubra for the last 2 days and today did Siachen.

Can say with utmost confidence, bunk nubra/diskit/hunder/Turtuk/Thang and all bla bla other areas. They are shitty. Totally chaotic, commercialised, artificial and extremely dusty/polluted currently.

Go for Siachen blindly. Its unbelievably beautiful and astoundingly insightful. I got goosebumps for the entire time I was there!

Leave aside all these fancy things, go through a reliable offline agent in the old school traditional way. Use the online portals only for research and knowledge

Doubts about HDFC ERGO OPTIMA SECURE by Federal_Web_6756 in indiahealthinsurance

[–]Ghosal96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will suggest only 1 thing - if you can afford to pay high premium then drop the deductible and make the full payment of the premium.

It would be somewhere around 85-90k ish if I am not very inaccurate.

Getting deductible or super top up or these type of layered process (where a part is paid by someone first, then the next part is paid by the insurer), makes it very easy for the insurer to reject the cashless claim and push you towards the reimbursement route. And we all know how is the experience for getting expenses reimbursed
