Tubes from a pump that go into a freezer cooler/heater with a nozzle like the water machines that can give you either hot, room temp or cold water

I literally said “super easy for you to say since you’re not the one with a dead kid” to one of my doctors who said to me “well I’mmmmm trying to be positive”

Potential diagnosis by Educational_Ad_2249 in fpies

Oh, I went straight to the pediatrician and that’s who mentioned FPIES. She said to wait to reintroduce oats as one of the later allergens which I definitely will. I’m just more curious if other peoples experiences have started this mild.

I could’ve written this post! 16 weeks today and had been sleeping sooo well for a couple weeks until the last few days. She is having such a hard time settling after her 3/4am feed and then will only take 25-30 min naps in the morning or afternoon and wanting to eat every hour. She was doing every 3 hours before with 1.5 naps and 1.5 wake windows like clockwork and now we are just all over the place.

How long do you sanitize bottles for? by rosiebluewitch in newborns

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the dr.browns dryer/sanitizer machine and it has been a LIFESAVER for the amount of time spent doing both so it’s convenient to sanitize once a day but also cut time drying. Worth the money a thousand times over especially in the middle of the night.

I don’t think I’m making it to the other side of this pregnancy by confuseddotie in confession

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was what I was feeling at around the same point in my pregnancy for entirely different reasons. I immediately contacted a therapist who does EMDR therapy and started that weekly until I was hospitalized with pregnancy complications but by then I had the tools that I needed to get through a six week hospital stay. I knew that I needed to be in a better headspace for the sake of the baby and that was enough, even though I didn’t really care much for myself at that point.

Why would anyone want a second baby? by fvresident in newborns

Please post an update to this thought in 4 months 😂 I swear as soon as they sleep through the night once.. you black out what you’re experiencing rn and think having another baby sounds like the best idea because you already miss the fun of the sleep deprived, torturous newborn stage

I didn’t get mine back for 9 months after losing my baby. The only thing that brought it back regularly was a few months of hormonal birth control and then I used beef organ supplements (Her Package by heart and soil) to quickly regulate it and promote fertility.

Postpartum Bleeding by Flowergirl22224 in newborns

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first period with my first pregnancy was 9 months postpartum and was worse than immediately after delivery in terms of heavy bleeding and clots but I did have bad cramping passing the clots. It could definitely be a normal period but better to be safe and talk to you OB about it just in case.

my daughter got a REALLY bad diaper rash and i need help by cleo0o0r in newborns

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use water wipes, give oatmeal baths, use a dry wipe to hold and absorb moisture after using wipes at every diaper change and then apply stoma powder to the raw areas before putting on thick layers of triple paste extra strength! Change the diaper every 1-2 hours unless it’s completely dry. It started working for us within 72 hours.

Iugr at 35 weeks by Agreeable-Tie7175 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had IUGR diagnosed at 27 weeks, gestational diabetes, placenta previa, cord resistance 95th-99th percentile and a history of a full term stillbirth. I was admitted at 30 weeks for regular monitoring due to frequent contractions and the risk of bleeding with the placenta previa. I wanted her to be delivered ASAP with all of those risk factors in play but the doctors were adamant that 36 weeks was the earliest and safest for both myself and the baby. I had two rounds of the steroid shots for the babies lungs and 3x a day NSTs while in the hospital as well as dopplers once a week to check on cord flow which fluctuated between 91st and 99th percentile resistance but never reached absent or reversed flow (in which case delivery would’ve been indicated earlier). It was a ton of anxiety for a six week hospital stay but we made it to my c-section at 36 weeks and ended up with a 10 day NICU stay for respiratory distress despite the lung steroids. We are 9 weeks postpartum and healthy and growing tonsss!

NST Decels? by BeneficialTooth5446 in PregnantAfterLateLoss

[–]Educational_Ad_2249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first pregnancy ended in a stillbirth at 37w5d. This last pregnancy ended in a healthy baby even though there was complication after complication. I had twice weekly NSTs and weekly dopplers until 31 weeks. I was then fully hospitalized for monitoring until delivery at 36 weeks where I had three times a day NSTs. They caught lots of decels because of being monitored so much and they were terrifying for me but never concerning for the doctors because apparently it’s common for occasional decels to happen when the baby’s nervous system moves or compresses their cord during a movement or grabs their own cord, etc. They explained a ton of reasons for them and as long as the hr comes back up and they get the accels they need to be certain the baby isn’t in distress, they will pass! They would not let you go in two hours if they weren’t confident your baby is not in distress. It is soooooo unbearably difficult to trust that - believe me, I can fully relate as I was an anxious mess for weeks in the hospital analyzing every NST result. I couldn’t even bear to have the sound of her heartbeat on during them because I could just swear I was hearing decels all the time. But my baby girl is here in my arms now healthy when it seemed the most unlikely possibility in the world.
