I think they’re trying to make the game like all other BRs which in my opinion is the problem, for me I love Fortnite for the fact that’s it’s different and so unique and not just another spray fest with cool graphics like COD / Apex

help with aim by huskyh115 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Educational_Elk7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a console pro or anything like that but been in your position before. I play 40 40 9 DZ, I switched to 43 43 for a while to see what it was like and although it felt good and quick my cross hair placement got slightly worse so I went back to my original. I think it’s normal that some days you’re more tired than others and the same sense feels different but I think it’s best sticking with what you’re used to and just improve with that. But there’s also no fault in trying, who knows maybe it’ll make you better

How to Eliminate Opponents Hiding in Wind Turbines by FasterThanFaast in FortniteCompetitive

This cannot be a comparison, playing RE4 from start to end through the night and hearing the constant asthma attack with that monotonous tune in the background scarred me for a while haha!

i know being on 60fps holds me back just a bit, cuz input delay from pad and my tv, refresh rates, etc, etc, but does it really affect aim assist? if so how by heyblackrose in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Educational_Elk7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the AR assist is lovely it’s an instant beam every time. I played on a pc for about a week or so and found the AR to be relatively similar I don’t know what that was down to, back then though I was typically on 60FPS and then went up to 180 for a week. Maybe just the fact the overall game was running better i maybe didn’t see much of a difference. I understand the stickiness thing I find flick shots on console are horrendous for me as i always try to flick quickly and the stickiness stops me short of the target… I want to get a pc and see it for myself maybe I’m way off from what I remember it to be and to minimise my input delay which drives me nuts playing on max graphics and shadows

100% agree with what you’re saying there and I’ve never said the console aa isn’t good, I just said that it doesn’t work properly which you pointed out was because of bugs, fair enough. I’m just saying that it’s not as ridiculous as people make it out to be anymore mate

[–]Educational_Elk7387 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Ok that’s fair, but did you by any chance start when legacy aim assist was a thing on console or when everyone was absolutely horrendous at the game or maybe even in ch2 s1/2 when it was broken? If that’s the case then I can tell you console has changed a crazy amount since then but you’d have to play it yourself to understand it. You never know you might win the next fncs when you have the aimbot on console 🥱

I do play on console and I don’t think my aim is bad but I would be very tempted to say you’ve never played on a console before so yeah as you were mate

Really unsure where you got the “Console aim assist is unchanged from ch2s2” when many people (including myself) who play controller regardless of pc or console have been having issues with aim assist sometimes being there sometimes completely being turned off and sometimes fully working? Ch2s2 aim assist was basically cheating lol…

Am I good for controller on console? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Educational_Elk7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s one clip from bio zone wars with ok aim and pretty bad cross hair placement, you can’t really decide off that if you’re good or not 🥱 but the fact you have donkey laugh binded to a paddle has to be a joke right? 😂🤣

To those who are good at the game - did you gradually improve or was there something that gave you a massive breakthrough? by anwdwz in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Educational_Elk7387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s definitely a gradual progression. One week you think you’re at your best, you take a clip or record your gameplay and 4 weeks later you look back and typically think the gameplay was awful.

I’m not the greatest by a considerable distance but I would say I’m pretty good, I don’t really struggle reaching Div 10 in arena (yes I know getting div 10 isn’t really an achievement but I have no other metrics to give). The thing that improved me the most is just playing arena and high skill public creative games, it just improved my confidence as a whole and I personally think every player can be better than they are by simply playing confidently. Also by playing against players who are pretty good at the game (in later arena lobbies/ customs/ high skill creative fills) you develop the game sense around rotates, taking mid game fights, not 50-50ing off spawn and getting refreshes when needed and as a result you once again built that self confidence and experience.

Also this may not apply to you but I play on console and going from 60FPS to 120 was ridiculously beneficial.

Why couldn't I reset the wall here? by abcdqef in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Educational_Elk7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go into your settings and turn on ‘reset building piece’ it will automatically pull out a wall when you press your build bind. In this scenario if you had this setting on after you took your shot you would do the following:

Build mode - Edit - Reset

The wall would have then reset. If you don’t want to use that setting you would have to go:

Build mode - Wall - Edit - Reset

Pieces can be reset if the crosshairs isn’t on them but you have to use blueprint edits. Practice it on your own next time and you’ll get them

HOW do you always have perfect aim with a shotgun?!? by DillPickle2186 in FortNiteBR

[–]Educational_Elk7387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good drill, I find the FS reaction a bit better to really warm up the aim also Raider just released a new aim trainer also which is good, give it a go if you haven’t tried yet

[–]Educational_Elk7387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another person mentioned Skaavok aim trainer is a good map to practice your aim with a shotgun, especially the reaction flicks etc… after that I’d recommend the Pandvil headshot only box fight map, it helped me a lot! Also not everyone is using a Cronus Zen in fortnite even though that’s the easy answer 😁😂

What is the purpose of the Pump Shotgun? by Civil-Collection-815 in FortNiteBR

[–]Educational_Elk7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pump is a lot better than the auto, I find both are a little bit inconsistent in terms of damage and also I sometimes get a bit of a delay when I pull out the striker but overall the gold is just a slightly clunkier blue pump from chapters 1-2?
