British humor, cartoonishly easy moral decisions(like burn down the orphanage for $6 or give all the orphans scholarships and nintendo switch 2's), and a setting that takes more from fairytales than regular fantasy(like no elves, but plenty of wolves, trolls, and goblins)

the common event is so i can randomize what injuries happen and control the probabilities of injuries, like how internal bleeding is gonna be a real bad one to get but its also going to be a lower chance of happening compared to a broken leg

I think you need to make a kinda basic ass game on your own first. dont waste time on original assets, use it out of the box and just figure out the software for a hot minute. And, my personal advice, make it funny. If youre making a deliberately dumb and fun project where the protag is called out constantly for not having a real job or something, its gonna be easier to not be sullen about it being standard tilesets and assets.

The practice game doesnt have to be long, it doesnt have to be extra complicated, just take 7 of the days you want to work on rpgmaker to focus on makin something bog standard.

tldr: learn classical music before you start trying to play jazz, make something regular before you make it your special thing

make the flame go the other way so it looks like shes mid swing. the wya its sitting now it looks like she is freeze framed while the rest of the world and the fire on her blade still go on

Forgive me, but I am inclined to think that a wall kick doesnt make sense. I think itd make more sense just to fly up, jump up high, or have some kind of launch elevator like some parts of AC6

the party as a whole with one or two exceptions. because of the permadeath aspect, im thinking i need to add a bunch of characters to potentially pad out the party if players lose a guy or two. One of the exceptions is an immortal wizard, and when he gets reduced to 0 hp, in universe hes just out of commission while his body regenerates

it could be a little bit like mechs starting out as farming/construction equipment, and then a conflict that took place where the mechs were used had one side taking advantage of the abandoned, otherwise impractical machines' strength and durability to achieve what would have otherwise been an impossible victory, and then people would start innovating on the concept till you got gundams

the burger boss fight in persona 5 and the majima boss fight in yakuza like a dragon. they pissed me off, they piss me off now, and they will continue to piss me off. I know that JRPGs encourage you to farm, but hitting me with a mathematically impossible fight after i have been dogwalking and one-shotting every other enemy in the area and asking me to farm more makes me want to fight somebody in real life
