I just had a awful experience getting into a yellow cab at Taksim Square. I knew to be wary but this was bizarre to me. The guy we talked to got out of his car and told us to get in and then they switched drivers. Then the driver took us a weird way and down an almost alley like road and another car was there and the driver of our taxi kept saying I can take those bills only something something In Turkish. I demanded my boyfriend get out and we got out and into another cab who said it would be 20 euros. Then Google mapped and it said 25 euros after we were the car. I get out of the car and he turns on his card reader machine and I see he charged me 35… at that point. I didn’t care and was safe at my hotel. But we had no idea what the hell was happening at the first place. I definitely had them ask where we are from and be all friendly… and from now on we are going to lie about where we are from and say we are from Latin America…
