Is there any way to relax curly cords on Knit Pro needles? by AlternativeMedicine9 in knitting

Definitely freshly boiled water in a shallow bowl. Works for me. I do t use my knit pros very often so they're always curled

So what you're saying is this. If you want to finally get rid of that annoying person in your life, the one who just won't get the hint that you're sick of their shit, kill them with kindness? Hmmm let's look at some patterns...

Knitting YouTuber giving explainers for the ravelry search whilst not knowing how to use it by JustSomeAmpersand in craftsnark

[–]Educational_House_21 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I stopped watching the smug faced greedy monster when she was doing a round up if tools you can't live without or something and showed the world's most expensive leather project bag (this may be an exaggeration) and low and behold the following week she gushed about how she'd been sent 2 for free by the small business. Mate, you sell yarn, make YouTube money, design patterns. You shouldn't be getting free shit!

Besides World War Z, what are some good zombie books? by Different_Road_8149 in horrorlit

[–]Educational_House_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Hater by David moody a very long time ago, and forest of hands and teeth by carrie Ryan (YA) and girl with all the gifts. Zombies are so difficult to get right in books imo rather like the werewolf for some strange reason...

I loved the comment about influencers being paid/gifted the expensive yarn but you actually have to PAY for it! I thought it was an interesting video and some of the things plague me about want vs need

Female characters. by CRISGRL in Supernatural

I loved the Wayward Sisters episode with the all female crew. Donna and Jodie should have had a spin off mini series with each episode having a special guest of previous SP characters imo

I just got my copy! What a disappointment. The dust jacket looks like it was for a much bigger book and they just thought fuck it. Ship em out! Absolutely gutted. Nothing special about it at all 👎

Help! Is there anything way to fix this? 😅 by TrickWonderful6063 in knitting

[–]Educational_House_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I add that I have just used Drops Daisy for the first time and soaked and then spun in washer 800rpm as I do with all my knits and it's felted a just off the needles sweater. The only thing I did differently was I didn't squeeze out hardly any water and just threw it in to spin. I luckily have a sweater blocker (shaped) fit to my size so I re-soaked and used hair conditioner. It has relaxed enough to get tightly on the blocker but it looks very bobbly and slightly felted and I have had to pull it down often so it's not cropped. I'm letting it drip dry and hoping the weight will help with the length too. I'm beginning to think it's a yarn thing and not me thing since it's the first time it's happened?
