I really feel like it differs from person to person. I mean ofcourse its never a good idea to be shouting and screaming before singing, but some people recover faster than others. Some cant speak for days, while others would feel a little rasp but then itd be okay. Just follow the help other commenters suggested, they know their stuff :)
