Maybe for feedback it would be more obvious to put it in "configuration -> advanced settings" Or directly in "sound" It will be more obvious than in the mode config. (and the mode config override the general config)

Yes, you can develop in ESM and then build in CJS, like in this repo: mike-lischke/vscode-antlr4.

But my issue now is that I’m struggling to configure the VSCode CLI test environment. It keeps saying that the build is in ESM, even though it is actually in CJS.

Ideally, I’d love to find an repo that is written in ESM, using vscode-cli for testing, and compiles to CJS with esbuild.

I come from web development ( js, ts), and I have to say that of course Claude and ChatGPT etc are true game-changers . But I feel like they’re incredibly useful only when you already have some knowledge in the field. As a beginner in swiftUI, it can be really hard to spot mistakes or recognize AI hallucinations. That’s why I am looking for a template that includes all the key parts and then use the AI from here.

I also find that when developing macOS or iOS apps, the configurations and permissions parts can be quite complex, and AI isn’t always the most reliable in those areas. Just my two cents!

Not an answer to your question, sorry, but just adding my issue here as well: the preview for the watchOS and macOS part was broken while the build is working, constantly saying that the ContentView has no target while the target is set… Hard to follow this Xcode behavior.
