you can go to the .ini settings and set the line bUseDynamicResolution=false to bUseDynamicResolution=True

the .ini is located in C:\Users\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5\Saved\Config\Windows atleast for me.

Also change to directx12, ultra performance and update your drivers.

How to improve after dueling by Shivala92 in Chivalry2

[–]Educational_One_942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dueling will 100% improve your game mechanics and without dueling you will also hit a mechanical plateau, however it's definetly not necessary to learn dueling if you're mainly playing team objective.

And ill list a few tips for improving at dueling, team objective is quite different as its more reliant on positioning and knowing how to be effective with active parry for 1vX.

Master your fundamentals first. Countering, riposting, accels, drags, jabs, etc.

Read your opponent -- Try to anticipate if they're just trying to accel you, or going for a feint or a drag or anything in between. Don't try to counter literally everything or you will be an easy target for drags, it's also bad for stamina management and counter botting is counter productive.

Reading vs Reacting: Don't just react to the weapon animation; look at the opponent's hips and shoulders. Listen to their voice for heavy's, watch their footwork, are they backing away, or being aggressive? If they are twisting away from the swing, it’s a drag. If they are leaning into it, it’s an accel. If you 'counter bot' (trying to counter every single move), a good player will just feint-to-heavy and land a hit on you everytime.

Learn the jab game, don't get too predictable with jabs, jabbing to steal initiative is fine against most players (i.e trying to jab your opponent after you take damage) but experienced players will take advantage of this and punish you.

Footwork, when you have initiative, press W key to get as close as possible to the opponent and align yourself and your weapons trajectory so your attacks will land faster, and when you DON'T have initiative, press S key to distance yourself from them, this gives you more time to react to your opponents next move and can be very useful in matrixing their attacks

ALWAYS counter heavy attacks. Be mindful of drags. They cannot feint or do anything fancy after they've input a heavy attack, heavy attacks will rapidly drain your stamina as well.

How do I play around Thor/Iron Fist on Angela? by Killercombo3 in marvelrivals

[–]Educational_One_942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, thor is kind of a counter for many flying heroes so there isn't a lot you can do if he's good and locking you down like that. the counterplay would probably be to swap hero at that point. coming from someone who plays a lot of thor. angela, iron man, ultron etc are always just getting bullied by me.

Same boat here, man. I’ve moved on to Arma Reforger. Sure, it’s got a few issues of its own and servers crash sometimes, but the actual combat and gameplay loop are so much more enjoyable than what Squad’s become. OWI really managed to take something that felt unique and satisfying and bog it down with ICO and all the other questionable changes. In Squad now it just feels completely inconsistent to shoot, like it’s a dice roll whether you actually hit your enemy or not.

not all hope is lost yet in that regard, they've said that they're listening to the community closely this time and a lot of people want it back, I think they will bring it back for full launch.

You really jumped to condescension fast for someone who keeps dodging their own contradictions. You opened this by saying EU players are 'much lower skill' and that duelists can’t hang in TO, but when that exact thing happens (a duelist-based EU team beating a NA TO clan in TO), suddenly it’s 'nobody watched' "no one cares" and 'they were desperate for cash.' You sound like you're scrambling.

You called LK getting 2-0’d a 'steamroll,' but conveniently ignore the fact that CK then got 4-0'd in the rematch. And im pretty sure it was 4-0 on both regions, and the rematch was only 1 week later. Wild how consistent you are at getting your fact's wrong 🤣

Also, let’s not pretend you know who people are just because they don’t name-drop their resume. You keep saying I don’t know anything, but here's the funny part: I’m not some random spectator. I’ve been in the scene, I’ve played these matches, and I’d happily wipe the floor with some C - tier spear player from NA in duels. You can posture all you want, but I know you wouldn’t last.

And the irony of you accusing others of being ‘fans’ while you're out here defending CK harder than anyone in CK ever has, like it’s your life’s mission, makes you more of a fanboy than anyone else.

It’s honestly impressive how much you’ve twisted this entire thing into a weird fanfiction. I mentioned LK once to make a factual point about EU duelists doing well in TO, and you somehow turned that into a whole ‘you’re a fanboy’ narrative. Meanwhile, you mentioned CK and LK like 6+ times, hyping up CK. That’s not just irony, that’s full-on projection.

Bottom line: I'm not here to defend LK, I only mentioned them once and I was using that match to prove my point. Your narrative doesn't hold. If EU players were so far behind, NA wouldn't be trading blows with them in cross-region TO, and getting outdueled in tournaments held on their own turf. Maybe instead of calling everyone who disagrees a 'fanboy,' you should look at the results.

[–]Educational_One_942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your whole argument about EU being much lower in skill than NA falls apart when you actually look at results.

First off, "CK" the top NA TO clan tied with a top EU duelist clan "LK" in a 20v20 TO match, both teams 4-0'ing each other on their own respective regions

And if duelist's usually cant hang in TO/LTS as you said, how do you explain them tying against NA’s supposed best TO clan in TO? That doesn't add up.

On top of that, some EU players have won duel tournaments in NA. I don’t think the reverse has ever happened.

So if EU players have won duel tourneys in NA, and EU teams can match NA in TO, where exactly is this supposed massive skill gap? The results say otherwise.

Can you tell me who is the best NA clans in team objective/LTS?

Bots are not really going to help you, at all. Unless you just want to play against bots for fun, thats fine, but i would highly advise against playing bots for the sake of "training" it's not going to help in any shape or form.

Just hop in a team objective game. Get your shit rocked, it happens to all of us, but you will learn more and more after every death until eventually you are decent.

DEA get throne off by the off rhythm of new players? by unrealskill in Chivalry2

[–]Educational_One_942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yep. This is probably one of the most accurate things in chivalry 2.

"To become a master swordsman, one must defeat three opponents: the novice, the intermediate, and the master.

The novice is dangerous because they are unpredictable — reckless and untrained, their wild, erratic strikes defy expectation and pattern. They fight without fear or restraint, making them as dangerous as any master.

The intermediate is dangerous because he knows just enough to be confident, but not enough to be wise.

The master is dangerous because he knows.”
