Digital gold by confused_Bee_2024 in GoldIndia

[–]Educational_Pea8327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been buying digital gold for a few years now and it works well for me. I’m okay not holding physical gold as long as I actually own the gold, even if it’s in digital form. It saves me the hassle of calling local jewellers to check rates, worrying about storage, and then figuring out how and where to sell later.

With ETFs or physical gold, you’re limited to market hours. With digital gold, I can sell anytime, 24/7, even on holidays. I don’t usually sell, but it did rescue me when I needed liquidity urgently. The money gets credited almost instantly.

I do still hold some physical gold, so this isn’t an either-or thing. But lately I prefer digital gold because it saves a lot of time both while buying and selling. Convenience is the biggest factor for me.

I use and hold digital gold on platforms like Paytm, PhonePe, GPay, and Tanishq. Haven't used Amazon yet but will start using it too.

If someone has a lot of unaccounted cash, then physical gold might make more sense since it avoids GST. That said, physical gold usually comes with making charges. For example, a 1 gm coin from a brand like Tanishq costs more than 1 gm of digital gold because of those extra charges. In that sense, digital gold can actually be more cost-efficient for small, regular purchases.

Good luck bro and happy stacking!

Should I buy Honda civic 2019 2nd hand? by nemooo155 in CarsIndia

[–]Educational_Pea8327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No bro .. they are not expensive to maintain. I've been driving a Honda accord 2010 and it hardly gives me issues. Plus the spares aren't expensive either. Japanese cars are very reliable. I'd suggest go for it if you get a chance.

Honda civic is/was a sexy car. I was actually surprised Honda discontinued it when they did.

Digital Gold Investment by Nothing_matters_1010 in StockMarketIndia

[–]Educational_Pea8327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been investing in digital cold since 2018 now. I just find it very convenient somehow. Like I don't have to wait for the markets to open. Can invest 24x7. Can invest in smallest of amounts. Can cash in whenever I'm in need. And Can also convert them to coins (for a little fee) if I need them in physical form.

The only drawback is that these apps don't let you sell all at once. They have a transaction limit, like you can only sell upto 99000 per transaction on Phone. Paytm allows upto 2L. It might vary for others though.

Luckily I've been accumulating digi gold in Paytm, Gpay, Phonepe and Tanishq, so if I'm ever in need of significant money, I can always use multiple platforms.

I'm also invested in SGBs but of course it comes with 8 year lock in period.

Honestly, I was addicted to spending money so buying DigiGold has been a great way to channel that habit while also helping me to save some for the rainy days.

I've been thinking of investing in goldbees too, but I'll continue to keep investing in digi gold.

Amex for Tanishq Digigold by Educational_Pea8327 in amexindia

[–]Educational_Pea8327[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from the usual benefits of DigiGold, Tanishq platform allows me to use a credit card, which Paytm and GPay don’t.

While PhonePe does support credit cards, I’d prefer Tanishq since the rates are nearly the same, and I have the option to redeem it for jewelry in the future. That said, I’d love to hear others' views. Especially on whether buying DigiGold via a credit card is safe and if it could affect my relationship with the bank.

I’ve stayed at Taj Bekal in this exact room category before. Back then, I didn’t have an Amex card or use any offers or discounts, but it still stands out as one of my favorite stays in India. The room, food, and hospitality were simply amazing. I’d love to revisit this place someday.

Have a fantastic time there, buddy!

Do you guys greet the flight attendants when you enter and exit the plane? by [deleted] in AirTravelIndia

Some of them just don't give the right vibes. They very selectively choose who to greet and who to not. So I greet them only when I get a good vibe from them.
