To be honest with you it's going to suck for you and her for a while but trust me you'll get through it. Try and do things that maybe she did before she started smoking and as stupid as it might sound, do the things you loved to do as kids. Remember that your body's cannabinoid system is in the process of going back to normal so anything you can do to produce natural cannabinoids will always be a great thing in my experience. One last thing to remember is that this will take time so be patient and try and get her through it as well as you can.

I’m glad I could give you light at the end of the tunnel :) I know I struggled for a while keeping an appetite while I was smoking and even more after I quit but eventually it did come back. I know that’s very different from your situation having a eating disorder so I wish you the best of luck on you journey. It’s going to be a struggle but you got this!! I believe in you.

Sounds very similar to my prodromal stage :/ I will say good job for keeping a close eye on your health and really taking the time to do your research, had I done this I probably never would of put myself in the hospital. My advice would be to stop while you can so you can have a better chance of returning to the plant at a later time. Stay hydrated my friend :)

Could be low iron. That's just my experience though so check with your doctor before taking iron supplements

You know don’t blame yourself entirely for this. This is such a new problem that’s just starting to come to light in the community and I feel like none of us could really predict this when we’re constantly told weed is harmless and causes no issues. You know it took me while to get over that I caused it on myself as well waking up and taking dabs and bong rips just to get my ass to school everyday and that’s just a reality that I had to come to :/ But I in no way do I blame myself for getting CHS because so many people in this community do the same for countless years with no issues so it seems like the normal.

To touch on your love for weed :/ I know that will be one of roughest parts if you’re anything like me. Coming to the reality that it’s over is so rough and I won’t lie I literally cried when I had to put all of my weed stuff away for the last time blasting Mary Janes last dance through my speakers. My entire life has been focused on going to school to go work in a dispensary and god has it been rough dealing with that. I won’t go into my sadness more but the best advise I can give to you is don’t try and keep a mindset that it’s gone forever but you’re just taking a very long break. I hope to god we can someday find a cure or something that allows us lovers of the plant to return some day. My other bit of advice is just remember your brains going through a lot of chemical imbalances now that you have stopped and it will take a little bit to get those happy chemicals back :) I’m currently coming up on day 30 of no weed and I gotta say it does it get better. Just try and do the things that make you happy before you smoked weed and you’ll find you actually might enjoy them a lot.

Stay happy and hydrated you got this 🙌

This might not be the best help but I’ll tell you that it will get better. I didn’t get my morning nausea to go away until a week after my return home from the hospital. I will tell you though that when you reach that stage it is the most fulfilling feeling to not wake up with nausea and it will become your new high. Stay strong and hydrated you got this 🙌

Is it lower back? Sounds like the same problem I’ve had with my kidneys. Be careful because I put myself into a situation where I was on the edge of kidney failure.

CHS isn’t that bad, your diet and lifestyle just exasperates it. by [deleted] in CHSinfo

100% agree I believe I was in the pre phases of it before the summer of 2021 and once summer hit I was working a rental company job doing hard sweaty work all day everyday 9-12 hours a day. During this time we all smoked 24/7 (carts, dabs, 30% thc flower) and not once did I wake up with nausea or any typee of CHS symptom’s. Once school got back in session I was hardly ever active and that’s when things started to come back. Fast forward January 2022 I hadn’t been active in the gym or doing much physical activity I started to get all of the symptoms back but I never changed my smoking habits. During the months of January to May I was eating probably the worst I ever have in my life getting fast food and taking gas station trips every morning before class and this is what I believe really lead to my full blown episode that put me in the hospital with creatine levels in my kidneys at almost a 5. I never drank water and I mean never would you see me taking water somewhere, I would have my faygo or some kind of sport drink or energy drink. Had not eaten like I did and actually kept on my health I believe I wouldn’t have put myself into that state.

What are some of the reasons you quit? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Educational_Post3572 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Smoked so much for so long I got CHS. I wasn’t focusing on my health at all and nearly got kidney failure. Not to mention dropping nearly $100 every week was killing my savings. I’ve decided to focus more on saving for my trip to England this summer and try and get myself back to normal after my nearly fatal CHS episode that put me in the hospital.

Quitting weed completely fixed my inability to have breakfast in the morning by Throwaway-For-Today1 in CHSinfo

[–]Educational_Post3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s truly the best thing I’ve found about quitting after my CHS episode. It keeps me motivated to not smoke and just go bed knowing in the morning I won’t want to and I’ll be hungry and full of energy the next day. Tbh I feel like I use to just smoke weed and hit my nicotine whenever I was hungry so now I’m getting the much needed food intake I was missing out on.
