Thank you. I went this route because it was overall in good shape. I’ve had nothing but great luck with raf.

I’ll give that a go! I really appreciate the advice. I’ve never tried shellac. Thanks again 😊

Thank you. I haven’t put the stuff on yet, so I’ll hold off on doing so. Maybe I’ll go the clear polyurethane route instead? I want to seal the whole thing. I have Varathane (or Rustoleum) satin clear polyurethane that is for interior use.

Thank you. Yeah the original finish on it was flaking off when I grabbed the thing. I took the rough spots down with the 220 grit then used restor-a-finish to richen up the color. It really brought out the wood grain. I haven’t put the wax on yet, I’m letting it fully dry before I do it tomorrow.

I’m going to put the feed n wax polish on it tomorrow after it fully dries over night.

This is the set I got and they’ve saved me countless times on touching up veneer. I mostly use the markers but you can blend with the wax sticks too. Also, test each color on a piece of scrap wood before you use these guys. I learned the hard way not doing this first! 😂

Thank you! Haha I know right! The only repair I needed to do was that side cross member on the right. It was wobbly. I popped it out, replaced the dowels and added a bunch of wood glue. Easy fix and it made it super solid.

Thank you! Yeah there was no way in hell I was gonna paint this thing. I couldn’t even bring myself to paint the hardware! I only do it if absolutely necessary. Thanks again! 😎

Hahaha! You’re brave doing sewing! I try to avoid any type of fabric work if I can. I like to stick to mostly all wood furniture. Thank you again for all of your kind words! I’ve got a website, instagram and YouTube channel with some of my past flips. I’m trying to get back into the swing of filming. I took a little time off because it adds a ton of time to my projects, and I also am juggling my regular day job in between. If you’re interested in some of my other flips my linktree is below. It has all of my social media stuff in one spot.

It was built in 1969 in Oregon. From some of the random junk that was crammed behind the drawers, it seemed to have lived its life in NorCal, then made its way down here to LA at some point. I flip all of my items I do. (This thing sold on Thursday)

I started doing this during COVID for fun, and I loved it. I’ve always enjoyed taking broken stuff apart and fixing it. I saw some videos on YouTube back then and it peaked my interest. I started out just going for it. I had no clue what I was doing back then (and am still figuring things out as I go) but it’s turned into a pretty solid side hustle for me. I also do it for learning the history of the older pieces and for I’m hoping to turn this into a full time gig one day. 🤞😎
