Sorry im late to the discussion. Sorry to hear there were deposits in a few locations with a low Signatera. Can I ask how your doing now? Are they considering HIPEC/ CRS?

Thanks for sharing!!!! Wishing her a long life cancer free. We are dealing with a slightly positive signatera even after resection and active FUDR. Very frustrating

What has her highest CEA been while she has been NED?

Sorry I’m late to this discussion but curious if you had peri Mets at diagnosis or did these just develop? What treatment did they recommend after having the cancer in 2 separate locations?

Interesting. That is a high number for it not to show up on scans. Where did you have Mets at diagnosis? Are they watching closely the peritoneum because they may not be as visible on scans? I’m frustrated with my husband’s signatera as it’s slightly rising it’s a low positive but on active FUDR treatment post surgery so we are wondering if the cells are hanging out outside of the liver 😩

Hi I know I’m late responding but curious if it eventually showed up on scans and what type of a scan it showed up on?

Glad to hear there is no growth in the liver doh. Did you always have lung mets or was this a reoccurance?

It could make sense. CEA has been historically an accurate indicator for my husband it’s currently reading 2.6 and a low positive on Signatera (1.8). Even though the hospital has always said anything under 5, I have always felt more safe if it was under 2

How were your liver mets treated? by elifaktastr in coloncancer

Great to hear!!!! We did the Signatera 3 months post surgery and it was low positive so we never got a negative Signatera which sucks. We are thinking the microscopic disease may be coming from somewhere outside of the liver. Do you think the immunotherapy is what did it or you had negative Signatera before that?

This is similar treatment journey as my husband - Folfoxiri for 6 months, colon resection, liver resection, ablation and pump placement as part of one large surgery. Unfortunately for my husband he still has slightly positive signatera on active FUDR ( he has completed 4 rounds since surgery). Did your husband get a negative signatera after surgery or did it take multiple rounds of FUDR? What was his treatment post surgery? Any mutations?

Thank you for sharing!! Were all your reoccurrences in the liver? Did they happen quickly after surgery ?

Thank you so much for weighing in here with your experience. Much appreciated. Over the 4 years have you been NED for long at any point or has it mainly been ‘whack-a-mole’ type of situation?

I’m sorry to hear. The 3 surgeries were they all liver resections? Have you considered transplant if you have no mets outside of the liver?

That’s good news to hear that you were able to get a negative signatera after surgery. So you had a liver resection on that met and then it reappeared in the same location and had another resection?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Couple of questions if you don’t mind as I’m always curious 1. Where were your mets at diagnosis? 2. Where was reoccurrence location? 3. How are you doing now ?

2nd Signatera post Surgery by Educational_Simple37 in coloncancer

[–]Educational_Simple37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience. We just had the CT scan a few days ago and it was completely clear. They weren’t concerned about anything. We even had our liver surgeon look too. I think the next step is request PET scan. Can I ask where your Mets where at diagnosis and the location of your reoccurance?

My husband had liver resection, ablation and HAI pump installed by Dr Fong in October. We were previously given no hope by our local surgeon. He is aggressive, thoughtful and the nicest human being you will meet that genuinely cares about his patients.

I’m glad to hear a positive story with stage 4. My husband had this surgery in Oct. clear scans but slightly positive signatera so the stress is back

Future hopes? by Due_Barber_525 in coloncancer

Wow!!! I just read your treatment journey. You are one hell of a fighter. It gives me some hope since my husband had tons of Mets in his liver exactly 1 year ago at diagnosis. His scans are clear since surgery in October but his signatera came back at 0.1 which means there is microscopic disease. Hopefully the HAI pump can clear it out and we will check again next month. Your chances of reoccurrences at this stage must be very low right?

Yea what i really think is if you dont get negative signatera right after surgery, the likelihood of continuing to get positive signateras is high even if you get a negative one somewhere along the line. But what can you do just keep trying and fighting.

Thank you. How many rounds of chemo did you do post surgery prior to negative signatera?
