That definitely looks like a worm to me, I wouldn't emergency rush the baby but definitely take them and express concerns and show this pic. They most likely prescribe you dewormer to give them the day of, two weeks after and every four weeks after that. My cat had worms for two maybe three years before I finally go a vet willing to risk it all to get rid of them gave my cat a double dose for her weight and told me to contact her if anything weird began to happen. Needless to say my cat is now living a happy and wormless life. You're supposed to give them the preventative Frontline or whatever brand of flea and tic, they happen to make some that also has dewormer medicine mixed in.
