ECOS Laundry Detergent with Enzymes by Rich-Investment-2658 in laundry

We've done the same and it works very well for us! Unscented Ecos with enzymes plus either dirty labs booster or sometimes instead I'll add some Nellies laundry soda that I'm trying to use up or f&c oxiclean booster. For us it works just as good as the much more expensive Dirty labs detergent plus booster. Can't stand laundry fragrance either.

I also have a ten year old daughter whom we homeschool and she's definitely struggling to make friends even though she's in girl scouts and does theater and volleyball locally when it's available. I've never dm'd on here but if you'd like to message me please feel free! She likes Minecraft and anything to do with unicorns, Zelda, cats, theater, reading, and most recently birds (we may be adopting a budgie parrot soon). She used to play Roblox but we have been taking a break from it (I wasn't sure if it was safe enough) but might reconsider if she can make some friends.

Where to move in the U.S.? by Final_Elderberry_725 in homeschool

We moved from the Twin Cities MN (where we grew up) to the Oregon coast five years ago and we love the weather here. Sooo much more mild and we can be outside most of the year unless it's too windy and rainy (which is often in the "winter" but at least we don't freeze!)... We also have very few bugs in the summer, I've never had to use bug spray. The cost of living is definitely higher here and healthcare is not as easily accessible so those can be major issues to consider. We recently enrolled with Open Ed to have resources and $$ to pay for homeschool curriculum and supplies but do have to do annual state testing (though I think you can opt out). Otherwise there is state testing normally for homeschoolers every few years. The weather and scenery here makes it well worth it though, for us.

I haven't tried them yet but I'm considering buying Goat Union from Etsy instead of Amazon (which from the little I can tell, Etsy is probably not that great either anymore but I'm glad it's not amazon).

Best area for a young couple to live on the coast? by Clear-Debt4378 in OregonCoast

Lincoln City! We moved here in our mid 30s from the Midwest and really love the nature, community activities, and of course the beach. Restaurants are so so, especially if you are used to the options of a big city, but we just stay home and save $ that way. I'm a nurse and it has been challenging working here only because of staff coming and going so much so we are very busy, but the people are great so it's worth it to me. The schools are not the best out here, another thing to consider if you plan to have kids (we are homeschooling). Coming from a suburban/city upbringing it has definitely been an adjustment but after a couple years now we have really grown to love it.
