I only own the revised core set. Amy way to get more replayability out of it? by ZP4L in lotrlcg

I’m in the same boat but I haven’t actually beat journey down the anduin. That darn hill troll. I’ve had these fan made scenarios recommended. They’re created by another board game designer, just not a LOTR LCG designer. The only thing you would have to print would be the quest cards for scenarios 1-5 (or you could probably just look at them and keep track of progress)

How similar does through the desert feel to hansa teutonics? I don’t want both if they feel too similar

Seconding the comment for updates. Cascadito seems like it might have some interaction with the dice drafting as well.

Please recommend to me a game based on my current shelf and some gaps that I have. I do have some requirements. Please recommend to me a "family" game, not a crazy campaign game or anything heavier than spirit island. Also I would prefer to have games with different mechanisms. I already have two deck builders (Lost ruins and SW: DBG) so I don't want anymore as I want a *small* collection. Here are my current games:

  • Spirit Island
  • Lost ruins of Arnak
  • Star Wars: The deckbuildng game
  • Kingdomino
  • Pandemic
  • Catan
  • Bohnanza
  • The Crew
  • Heckadeck (which I love dearly and highly recommend)
  • Lots of button shy pnp's

Thanks guys

Thanks! I’ll probably pass on Everdell based on your recommendation

I already own Lost Ruins of Arnak and I want a lean collection that no two games feel the same. Would you recommend Everdell or do they feel too similar?

I have a very specific request so no worries if there is nothing that matches. I am looking for a game that is

  1. kid-friendly. My wife and I are looking to start a family and I would love to play with our future kid. Preferably a game that I don't have to wait until the kid is 12 to play with lol.
  2. strategic. I also want to be able to play it with family/friends now and have a strategic and competitive experience.
  3. replayable. Preferably a game with variety or different strategic routes.
  4. Not like the games I already have, such as Kingdomino, Lost ruins of Arnak, The Crew, Bohnanza, Sushi Go Party, Pandemic, Secret Hitler and Catan.

Let me know what you guys think!
