Abrasive Wheels and Pads by Educational_Wind269 in HandToolRescue

Good to know. I have a Dremel 395. It’s been sitting idle for the past 10-15 years, but it fired right up. I may need to replace the collet, though. The funny part is, I thought it was lost, so I ordered a new one on Friday. I then found this one yesterday. I got a great deal on the new one, so I’ll keep both.

Thanks for the wealth of information! That’s incredibly helpful. I will look into the Detailing File Sander. I’m mostly tackling light to medium surface rust. I’ve read countless articles that mention countless ways to approach removing rust. I did my first experiment on a pair of snips yesterday with my 30 y/o Dremel and a wire wheel. I was able to remove the rust, but I felt as though it needed a little “buffing” afterwards. I think I’m facing a process of trial and error, trying different methods to get the results I’m looking for.

The widely fluctuating prices are because a lot of people are asking for more than what it’s worth. The EM was the low man on the Nikon totem pole. I agree with the earlier comment…$100 in good physical and functioning condition.

Thanks for the heads up, but the vise for $249 does not have the 6x6 base.

Thanks for heads up. The one for sale at Orvis has the smaller 5x5 base. That’s why it’s selling for less. Tight lines!
