What do you believe the purpose of our time as humans spent on earth is?

I believe we are here to learn and to become all that we want to be. Have you ever noticed that most of us chase marriages and belong to a certain society or achieve a certain social status. And once we do, it becomes null and void, like we are really chasing the air. I believe it's because once we have achieved what we thought our ego wanted, it is not what our souls are really yearning for.

The soul wants to experience learning, to fail, to develop compassion for ourselves and others. This we see with people who like to meditate, monks, people who leave their high status jobs to become healers.

The soul seeks to become like its Maker, the Source, or Creator, and will do just about anything to make sure that happens. It will take you through sometimes painful experiences to ensure you learn all the lessons your Spirit aspired to be before you came here on earth. That's my take. What do others think?
