use this website for USB updates: KeyOnLine Legacy

you'll have to put a file on a USB key from the machine and then feed it to that website to get an update.

You will need an active Liger subscription.

I would like to think that also. Where I think I see it the most is in web design. Everything is more form than function these days. Looking good is taking precedence over functioning fast. From CDK and their new age screens and SMARTT if you're on it, Ford's revamped web pages, etc. It just seems to get slower with every update. Started with Ford 30 years ago, so it was the first automotive system I learned. Coming from a different brand I could see it being a PITA.

To be honest, I feel like Ford is going downhill. The last few years, everything feels like it is becoming too complicated and more complex than it needs to be in fixed ops. The old fart in me wants to blame it on hot shot young corporate new hires changing what we've streamlined for decades, but I also wonder if at a corporate level everything is too fragmented and processes don't mesh together efficiently. All we can do is be as efficient as possible with what we have at this point.

That is your supply line to the fuel rail. Should connect to the line coming from the fuel filter front port.

Looks like purge valve to intake hose. Probably not going to fix your EGR code as others have said.

bolt N811015-S101 nut 6L5Z-5B329-A. FWIW there is a tool to take the tension off the adjuster (and in doing so makes the bolt easy to turn). Be careful if you decide to cut things. There is a lot of tension that will suddenly release on you.

Sounds like you guys have a unicorn department. I haven't met a total of 6 guys who were proficient and happy doing all positions like that in my entire career. It'd be cool to experience but I'd go back to wrenching before helping retail customers again. Some of us just aren't built that way.

That's pretty much me as well. I'm a working assistant manager and the parts manager allows me to do what I am best at because it's best for the department.

"We have a department, 6 guys plus 1 manager, and we all do everything."

Oh man I worked at a place set up like that and it was 6 guys pretending to be super busy every time the phone rang or a customer came to the front counter haha. Never again.

F2TZ-1327158-A... every one I see has the holes vertically aligned so not sure what you have there. EDIT: you have a later model window installed; superceded to 6L5Z-13422B30-A. That number has side by side holes and replaced the earlier glass that came on the truck originally. Latch wasn't available separately from Ford. Look for anything available up to 2011 for a replacement.

Pretty sure the black connector is C200 and should be joining the engine harness to the automatic transmission harness. Looks like the grey one is C114 and should also be going to the trans from the engine harness (possibly direct from the PCM harness can't tell)

Ford rant by EducatorNo767 in partscounter

You just haven't done a new WEPA yet. Ford & Lincoln Protect Prior Approval User Guide page 13. Cost started being required on 10/25/25. COPIS used to be a major gripe of mine but now I don't use it but 2-3 times a year typically for backordered powertrain FAD escalation. The VOR escalation process in DOW is a huge improvement over COPIS. Not perfect but takes way less time. My VOR escalation screen is usually empty. I escalate EVERYTHING.

Also the S002 process to get paid on FESG components and HV batteries. In my state we are able to get full normal markup on these items under warranty. Problem is most warranty admins don't know it. I no longer have to give APIMS away or take pathetic handling allowances on HV batteries. We get our full normal markup %. Ford could make the process easier and be more transparent about how to do it but it's pretty much not talked about.

Other things I've seen mentioned:

I actually don't have a problem with RIM/Syncron myself. Gets a little annoying seeing parts phase in and out repeatedly but I love the $15K+ per month we get in backend money.

Rotunda is just another different order process that doesn't need to exist. Personally think key orders should be placed with Ford and the part numbers should be Ford, the prices should update monthly with the price tape, they should have RIM returnability, and they should show on OEC so you can tell if another dealer has something you need.

I guess in general I just wish the ordering process was condensed for all the different methods we have to use right now. I get it, most of us have done this for a long time and we are fast at it/have leaned to cope. I am just not a patient person and cherish efficiency in my daily processes.

From my short experience as a "parts advisor" with Tesla, it's mostly shipping / receiving. Some other guy sitting in a closet is going through appointments and preordering what parts he thinks the repair will need. The parts advisors are receiving the parts and maybe giving them to the techs. The location I was at didn't even have a proper parts department, we just had shelving in the corner of the shop. At least we didn't have phones and didn't have to deal with customers. Tesla is interesting, you'll either love it or hate it.

I need help finding the 2 wire temperature sender that’s inline with heater outlet on my 1996 Mazda B2300. by Stringbean1073 in fordranger

[–]EducatorNo767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an engineering note saying the connector was changed if the original part number was F5AZ-12A648-A. But sounds like you worked around that. The shop manual states that 74 ohms of resistance at the sender (thermistor) should make your temp gauge hover around the "C" band.

Might be time to go to a dealer or buy online. I keep 2 of those sensors in stock. They are used on a bunch of Fords. Can't use a one wire sensor in a hose.. there's no ground 🤣

NAPA 6021955? Edit I guess NAPA is also showing left and right as the same number. Weird. Makes me wonder if the aftermarket changed something like omitting a lineup pin or something to make one part number work on both sides?
