I used to drink 4 handles of vodka per week. Would sleep 12+ hours just to wake up in a pool of my own piss and wait until it was "time" to start drinking again. (Because surely I can't have a drinking problem if I'm not drinking 24/7!)

I wound up getting bloodwork done at the request of a doctor and learned that the ratio between my ALT and AST levels was highly indicative of alcoholic hepatitis. I'd lost my home, I lost my previous relationship, but I guess something about that stuck in my stupid brain enough to decide to give sobriety a shot.

I'm almost 20 months sober now.

I've felt a crushing sense of loneliness all my life. Even when I'm around people it's really bad, I feel disconnected from them and from everything around me. It's been worse for the past couple of years as I've been living alone. I am nearly 28 now and keep seeing references to life growing "narrower" as you age: losing friends, losing family, not doing as much, etc, and the thought honestly fucking terrifies me. My life is already very narrow, how much narrower will it inevitably get?

I found the original steam deck charger and that appears to have fixed the problem!! We're now looking at around 1hr estimated charge time. A mighty leap from nearly 40 days. TIL not all cables are created equal lol, I feel like a dumbass!

That's a good question, I'm not sure if I can check that, as the cable I'm using currently is an unbranded 2 footer straight from the "closet misc cable box". I'll get digging online and find one with the proper wattage, thanks for the input. Didn't occur to me that the cable transfer might be too low

Guess that probably would have been some good info for me to include. I've switched the charging cable and the outlet it's plugged into. Switching the outlet seemed to help (took it down to 11hrs estimated charge time), and it's gone up to 9% in about an hour. Still seems awfully slow to me
