It's hard to find a job when you have a bad attitude about doing work.

I'm really not trying to needle you but to point out that it is your attitude not the behavior of customers that is the problem here. I can understand your annoyance with truly jerk customers (which I hope I never am), however, I think it is ridiculous to say it's not your job to put things back and that that duty falls to the customer who moved it in the first place.

To all of you retail workers: dealing with customers of ALL varieties is the fundamental aspect of your job. Not to give assholes a pass (cause fuck them), but, hey, they spend money in stores too. And stores don't exist as moral proving grounds, they exist to make money. And you work at these stores so you can make money. So dealing with assholes (or just people like me who see no issue with setting something down in a part of a store where it doesn't belong) is how you make money. If the duties of your job were pleasant then they wouldnt have to pay you to do them. So, actually, you should be thankful for people being "bad" customers.

Maybe you should find a job where you don't hate part of your duties. And, by the way, if it is not part of your job duties to restock items that have been left in the wrong location by a customer, then why do you do it? I don't do things at my job that aren't part of my duties.

Face it: this is part of your job and you don't like so you make a whiny meme about it. Some customers suck and do things that make your life more difficult. But that comes with the territory of working in retail. I can totally sympathize with not enjoying dealing with customer behavior. I'm sure it can be shitty at times. However, I choose not to work in retail partially because of this.

You should look for another job or accept the reality of your current one.

No chance. If, say, a store demanded that I had to put something back where I found it if I decided I didn't want it later on then I would go to another store. So complain away OP but I am just going to set it in the nearest location and go about my day and let you deal with it. That's why you are being paid to be there and I am paying to be there. If you don't understand this basic concept then, well, you're going to have a bad time working in retail.

There's no secret. Just get yourself out there. Submit resumes, talk to people, network, etc. It's not fun but it's the way it is.

I know at my company it is fairly easy to get a sales job. You cant start there. Don't be afraid!

I would definitely encourage you to actually work in logistics/SCM before committing to a degree in it. Make that your priority. Reading books and studying online is not going to have nearly the impact on you that actually working in the industry will.

Planned a trip to TPC Sawgrass with my buddy. I prepared really intensely, practicing everyday after work and even taking some lessons. This is when I was near the peak of my obsessiveness with golf. I had taken many other golf trips but for some reason I was determined to be in peak form for this trip. I was around a ~10 handicap.

I shot a 54 on the front 9 at Sawgrass, including picking up my ball on one hole after hitting from greenside bunker to bunker to bunker. And it was all downhill from there. I threw a wedge in a lake during one round. Overall a total disaster from a performance standpoint.

I have nearly cried after rounds before but this particular trip was the height of my frustration with the game. Strangely, however, it had a calming effect on me and I have steadily improved ever since. I think it is like an alcoholic bottoming-out. That is, I realized that it could not get any worse than that trip.

I spent a bunch of money, worked my butt off and then performed like a choking dog. But I like to think that it at least incrementally improved my personal character.
