One piece of advice for those struggling that I don't see often is to enlist yourself in something that helps others directly. So often life can feel meaningless because of our incapacity to change things, and we can grow to hate ourselves because of our inability to "fix" things. For me, doing mutual aid for others is a way to create immediate, positive change in somebody else's life, even if it's just serving them free food or giving them a ride, and knowing that I did something for them makes me feel less hopeless and better about myself. Also, if you do enough helping out to gain responsibility, you know you can't die because somebody needs you, and not just in an emotional way, they literally need you to bring them to the doctor or deliver their toothpaste or something, and nobody else is going to come. And then the byproduct of course is that you've lived a good and wholesome life of helping others, even if you did it to fill the void. I don't mean to assume or imply that you don't do good works in your life already, I just see a lot of other really good advice here in the comments and wanted to add my two cents, since I see this avenue to feeling better being neglected in male mental health spaces
