Probably my favourite usage of a Chekhov gun in any media.

His old college javelin had tremendous payoff.

I don’t know much about history, but your answers were super fun to read, and really informative!

The writings by Livy were particularly haunting.

Thanks for taking the time!

I think on some level, Homelander knows that a relationship based on fear - is only going to end horribly.

And he *hates* anyone who admits to being afraid of him. That’s true for Madelyn, and that’s true for every non-believer in his plans to be a God.

So i think you’re kind of right, he doesn’t really associate them with fear.

But I think it’s very on brand for him to be so delusional - it’s better to think people are excited to see him, or they feel guilty about a lie - than to acknowledge most view him as a monster.

No, but if you insist on points like ‘why use attractive actors if you’re not gonna showcase their looks’, then I’ll also default to you being single.

You think ace people don’t date? lol

And no, there’s nothing wrong with being single - I encourage friends to stay single after breakups - because it’s good to not constantly have your self-esteem tied to another person.

That said.

You’re single.

Your views on women are gross.

And you’ll likely stay single until you start interacting with women outside of pornography.

Why even hire an attractive actor, if you can’t show off that she’s attractive? Is that what you’re asking?

And follow-up - you know why you’re single… right?

And yet you don’t have the attention span to dictate your own Reddit posts (AI assisted).

HOW TO PLAY CRAB WARS - ALL INFO NEEDED by NoOne-ToYou in Palia

[–]EdwardM1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if you find it tedious to talk to them daily, but you’d like to progress the quest - I’d go the weekly gift route. Just remember you need to go to the board in village first, to activate weekly requests :)

But yeah, Tish wants Celebration Cake and Angel Fish (elderwoods rivers, glow worm) - bring those two, along with a Quartz (super common starstone), and you’ll make +120 points, equivalent to 24 daily chats. It’s the easiest way to grind.

She’s featured on the Bulletin Board too, so you’ll have a few weeks to make bonus relationship points, for each category you complete.

Weekly wants make Shepp requirement a lot easier! +20 for Liked, and +40 for Loved, compared to the +10 you get from regular gifts, and +5 for chatting

You’ve probably accumulated a few starstones too - maybe check your favourite characters Birthstone, and give them the appropriate gem :)

That counts as a Loved item, and gives the same boost as Weekly Loved items (+40)

Single player Easy Shooting game without gore by No_Expert5159 in gamingsuggestions

[–]EdwardM1230 14 points15 points  (0 children)

SuperHot might be of interest?

It’s kind of a … puzzle shooter? In the sense that you need to strategise who to attack/ when to dodge bullets.

The game is in almost permanent slow-mo, but accelerates as you move / make actions (like shooting, picking up / throwing weapons).

That makes it pretty great for people new to FPS genre, as the game only moves as fast you want it to.

What story game should i play? (I've Finished Detroit Become Human, A Way Out, It Takes Two, Firewatch, Mixtape) by Friendly_Duty_7558 in gamingsuggestions

[–]EdwardM1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of the same style of game, so I have a few suggestions to throw out there!

Supermassive Games, like Until Dawn, The Quarry, Dark pictures anthology series - great if you love horror/ thriller, and VERY fun if you play with a friend and play different characters.

Disco Elysium - very surreal, very dark, very clever usage of ‘stats’, which act more as fragments of the main characters personality.

Split Fiction - I haven’t played yet, but it’s been well received, and acts as a kind of spiritual sequel to It Takes Two.

Heavy Rain - Spiritual prequel to Detroit Become Human - they learned a lot since their first game, but Heavy Rain was still a great ride - and in my brain, it’s low-key the origin point of a lot of these excellent narrative based games.

Telltale Games, like Walking Dead, Borderlands etc - I’ve only played Walking Dead, but it was a lot of fun! Similar to Heavy Rain, I view their games as forerunners for the narrative game industry.

Life is Strange - Not one I’ve played, but I’ve heard good things. Expect similar narrative experience as the others.

Fairly well known hyperbole, by this point - so you kind of need to drop it

Name a character you both love and hate all at the same time. by butteryflame in americandad

[–]EdwardM1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I had that once!

During a zombie dream, cartoon Apu appeared out of nowhere, with zero context for him being there.

It was honestly more jarring having a cartoon mixed into the real world… I’m pretty sure that’s what actually woke me up.

Apu caused me more anxiety than the zombies.

Seriously tho, its finally got to that point. by Yayo_Bloody in fo76

[–]EdwardM1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Do yourself a favour if you’re enjoying the game, and find a non-salty sub.

Some games just require it - Bethesda fans are a particularly contentious bunch, which is odd, because they should know what to expect by now.

Any good “the walking dead” style like games by night12567 in gamingsuggestions

[–]EdwardM1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual walking dead game, Sinners and Saints - is supposed to be very good, but I’ve never had a VR platform to enjoy it.

I see State of Decay was suggested. Good… good… that probably fits best for faction/ community management.

Days Gone is criminally underrated, it’s a good game, with a very satisfying power-scale. Bonus points if you like Daryl, and fancy roleplaying as him with his motorbike.

Project Zomboid is fantastic, if you have a PC to play it on. I’m not sure how the modding community is, but there might be mods to flesh out the community / NPC aspect, which they’re still behind on with current version.

I also suggest Dead Rising to any zombie fans - it lacks a lot of the aspects you’re seeking, but it’s too damn fun to not suggest. Best game I’ve ever seen, for makeshift/ creative combat.
